I'm imagining being 5 to 10 years old, in my life jacket, back in the 90's here. Great childhood memories of maritime adventures with my family.

My Dream Boat used to be a Fleming 65. This 58 just might replace it! It’s full displacement, it can do the loop, and I absolutely LOVE the John Deere engines. Simple, yet functional, and the miles they can get is unbelievable. This is now the Numero Uno!!!

0:09 I love that "Freedom" with the US flag in the background on the back of that boat. Beautiful mural design. Live the message too. God bless you all from the Republic of Ireland and the throne roon of heaven.

Capt. Steve, you do a very good job With the walk through. Like to see more walk through for true passage makers.

5:47 What an ideal looking design for an office space, where everything looks like it's roughly within grabbing range of the office chair, while at the same time, very spacious for office work.

1:14 This really reminds me of summer holidays here on the south coast of Ireland, exploring the little islands and crossing peninsulas on small boats. Good memories. It's great to see kids still doing it today with their parents. Seeing the seals and things that live around the coast. There is a family of sea lions that live at one of the sides of Harboline Island, Ireland's Naval Headquarters. They seem to just hang out there a lot. Well away from the main dock area where the naval patrol ships pass in and out.

What's your opinion Capt Steve, as good as Nordhavn or Fleming?
@Jay-tc9on2 жыл бұрын
To me at least, these boats are all in the high end class in terms of fit and finish and it really comes down to personal choice.
@Jay-tc9on2 жыл бұрын
My one gripe is the tiny engines. 11 knots wide open…. For inlets and encountering bad weather I would personally want a little more. The plus side is incredible efficiency.
@DrCrabfingers2 жыл бұрын
@@Jay-tc9on The full displacement hull won't allow higher speeds. In order to go faster you'd need a semi-displacement hull, like the Flemming, but then you compromise on sea handling and stability.

You did a great job of avoiding showing us the regular bridge and the fly bridge. I guess you think we don't care to see how the boat is operated. Not a smart move.

That's true. Personally I love the thought of travelling at 6 knots across the Pacific....California to Hawaii....no problem...New Foundland to Ireland...easy...put your feet up, watch the sea. The Doldrums? Ha! Just a beautiful calm piece of ocean that I can enjoy a spot of fishing whilst pootling along in my own time....This boat is designed for distance not speed....if you want speed don't buy the boat. For speedy coastal cruising there are other options. But for many people, cruising along at 6,7 knots for 5000nm is just perfect.
