If I had all the knowledge when we first started, we would have made different decisions about how we came to the boat. In the end, everything usually works out well with patience. From experience, be careful listening to some individuals / sales people. The boating community is overly enthusiastic and helpful but on some occasions advice has been incorrect - basically be prepared to do your research. Videos like this were hard to come across 5-6 years ago and are valuable insight for new boaters :)

Most definitely watch other boating channels. Believe you me, yall all been through it, but learn from others mistakes/positives!! If ppl can help then dont take it for granted!! Get basics down of boat lingo and electric before looking. It's sad but I've seen some ppl talk above new boaters and yes some get taken advantage of. Knowledge is key 👍🙃🙊💯

Engine, engine, engine - how to maintain & troubleshoot your engine yourselves is absolutely crucial. Your engine WILL fail to start at some point, usually it's something straight forward that you can resolve but only if you take the time to learn and do the maintenance...

Thanks for doing this.... we are at number 6 the mass decluttering stage of the house!!! We have given ourselves 6 months to declutter, move bits and bobs onboard and to slowly buy what we might need to make the boat low energy as much as poss like swapping to LED light bulbs and buying rechargeable hand held hoover etc xx

Hi Amy... need to ask a question about your portable washing machine..... how are you getting on with it and does it wash and spin the clothes well.... we are not sure whether to get similar or an actual washing macine however how to get that on board seems a nightmare not to mention the power consumption!! Sorry if this is the wrong vlog to ask the question... !! Xx

Hey Lynette! No worries 😊 We love our portable washing machine and feel like it cleans our everyday clothes really well! We mainly use it for underwear, t-shirts, pj's and light trousers etc. It can struggle with heavier clothing like knitwear or jeans, so I usually wash them by themselves or save them until we get to a laundrette. We wash the bigger stuff like bedding, towels and blankets at laundrettes and its too heavy for our machine. The way I make sure its clean is I do a spin with hot water and detergent and then empty out the water and do a cold water rinse before drying. This just makes sure all the dirt and access detergent leaves. Sometimes I do 2 cold water rinses if needed. That seems to get them clean and smelling fresh :) We have had no problems so far! We have seen the full size washing machines and for us it wasnt worth it for the amount of space it would take up and how much power it would use! Hope that helps 😊🧺
