Well you have taken over my life, watch an episode which turns into another and another…. You are both such a lovely couple, then I saw an advert on tv for the new programme starting on Monday and sure I saw you on it, my hubby looked over and said are they your mates 🤣🤣🤣 never been on a narrow boat but recently obsessed with watching them on KZbin 🤩

I came in at ep 177, enjoyed what saw, so had to go back to the very begining and watch the entire journey. You two are responsible for many a late night for me as I get so caught up in watching your Video's. Very enjoyable, fun light entertainment, but also very down to earth, I like how you show equally, the bad along with the good, and the "meh" times in-between. Looking forward to 160+ vids to come :)

Hi Amy and Wes. Sorry that you were having engine problems but that service kit sounds like a great idea. Amazingly weird wiring system that the previous owner had. At least you managed to get the wire back in. The Christmas tree planting made me chuckle when you bought out that tiny spade I thought it was a wind up😄. Glad Rufus helped in the end. Have a lovely Easter🐣. Take care. Nick

I cant believe how someone would deal wire's behind the shelf, like they would be there for life. Wes and Amy I think there may have been a protruding brick in wall of that lock, could be why you started to tilt. I've seen it happen to a few people, so don't get too close to the wall. Rufus make me laugh, he's such a character 🤣. Think it's great your doing your own engine service, you both amaze me with all your boat skills, even if your learning as you go along. Love your vlogs. Have great time with friends. Bye for now..❤
@BoatTime2 жыл бұрын
Haha yep! We were baffled! 😅 That could’ve been the case. We couldn’t see any bricks but you can never tell, sometimes it just takes a small protrusion! Rufus is a very unique lil character 😂 Thank you! That’s so kind of you to say. We still feel like we know barely anything but it’s all fun learning and giving it a go! Thank you for watching and another lovely comment! ❤️

Yes! Stuff like services is such a scary task but you learn so much from just having a go! 💪🏻 Haha yep, that’s a great spot on the list 😂😂 it’s easily forgotten!
@BreezyRider662 жыл бұрын
Do the service yourselves it's only changing oil & oil filter, fuel filter, check impeller, replace if necessary. If there's a tap on the bottom of your fuel tank drain some off see if there's any water in there. Also you might be able to see if there's water in the fuel if your primary fuel filter housing has a glass bottom which some do, even if it has a metal one so you can't see there's a wee tap under it so you can drain off any water there as well. Learn how to bleed fuel through the system it's not at all difficult, always have a few replacement filters, impeller & fan belt in stock and you'll soon be able troubleshoot and cope with most no-start scenarios yourselves...
@BoatTime2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s a really valid point. We’re all for learning the basics of most things so we can do more ourselves 🥰

Wes it’s easy to put a cable connector on….easier than fitting a plug and especially ripping your shelving out….just buy one and take it to pieces and have a look….usually 4 small screws with small nuts….then inside just like a plug couple the cables in line….you won’t regret it

Hi Amy, Wes, another great Vlog this week. Rufus was funny pretending he was cold, I was thinking "And the Oscar goes to"!!!!! I love the way You have Rufus on a very lengthy lead. Would he run away with no lead on? The incident in the lock looked a bit scary as the boat tipped, but glad everything turned out fine. Amy was quick securing the panels when Wes shouted, what a great team you both are!. Good plan getting a new low energy TV. Very strange the way the original had been installed. It was good fun seeing attack the problem. I loved Rufus helping you dig the ground for the Christmas Tree(s) re-planting, what a great idea. I'm glad your engine did start in the end, and am looking forward to seeing you do an engine service? Have you seen any birdies on your new food box yet? Never saw Rupey this week. Hoping he is all right. And finally, hope you had a great weekend with your friends. Have a great week. Take care.
@BoatTime2 жыл бұрын
Haha yes! Rufus is quite dramatic at times 😂 Rufus is very unpredictable off lead. He is known to run off, or chase squirrels, or even pulled heavily at a motorbike, so we don’t chance it. Nothing is more appealing to him than chasing something like a squirrel so we feel the long lead is a good compromise 😊 Amy was so good with the scary lock situation. Luckily it was nothing but you never know in the moment! 😬 Yeah our boat is full of surprising set ups 😂 and Rufus finally came of some use with the trees, haha! We’re excited to show you our service too! We haven’t had any birdies yet but I think a mouse might’ve found it one night? 😅 Rupey is okay! He’s just been relaxing and enjoying the slightly warmer weather. Thank you for your lovely comment as always, stay safe! ❤️ x

I'm not sure fuelset will deal with the diesel bug. marine 16 is a good bet which is expensive but it is very good. When your fuel filters are changed take a look for any snotty slime in there which would be the dreaded diesel bug.
@BoatTime2 жыл бұрын
We use fuelset as a preventative measure, along with some other precautions. We’ve seen marine 16 too. Ah thank you for the tip! That’s really useful to know that that’s a sign of the dreaded bug!

Hi Amy Wes’s,yes it was good practice on a emergency problem in a look ,I guess you sat on a supermarket trolley as you passed some more in the canal,now that was fun fitting your TV in place,I think your starting problems might have been some air in the fuel system , or the stop solenoid Was sticking or maybe it’s due for a good service new fuel filters so on ,don’t think it’s a serious problem,44 years of working as a marine engineer on boats think I’m might be right lol ,Amy that’s nice to throw some wild flower seeds near the walk way nature needs all the help it can get ,when Amy started the engine it was panting that’s air in the fuel system just reve it up that will get rid of the air but you need to find wear the air is getting in the fuel system,did I understand your are doing a full service yourself if so good luck ,it’s not easy without the correct tools ,have a great weekend with your friends,till next time take care keep safe , John 🐥🐣🌹🥰👍🥂🥂😅🙌😍⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yes it could’ve been a trolley! Who knows, we do see a lot of them along that bit! The TV setup was a pain but quite funny 😂 Ah okay, thank you for the tip! What is it with bat shit crazy people and their ideas for wiring! In this house we bought a few year ago, the previous owner has wires under the wooden flooring, in the walls etc, WHY!!!!! With the new TV (which is cool) would it not be easier and Rufus-Proof to get a shorter power cable and some trunking to the plug socket there next to the TV? I mean I know you've had to rip everything out to get the plug out but just thinking about future changes - less hassle. I appreciate you've already done what you've done as we're behind haha. Great vlog as always and nice that you got to spend some time with friends. Vio
