DYI tip for holes that are drilled a bit too big... You can mix some of the sawdust with wood glue to make a sort of paste. Put some in the holes with the screw to fill the gap!

Yes, home made bread. One of the best things ever - including (or especially) the smell while it bakes. We started making our our bread about 5 years ago and even now when a loaf is ready it is hard not to set to and munch through far too much of it before it even cools down. Either butter spread thickly or olive oil as a dip... Its 9:30 pm now but hearing the sound as you sliced that bread has made me hungry. Tim & Jalika, Malaysia

Recently found your channel, I love your blogs. I’m now watching the older ones. Rufus (sorry if spelling wrong) is just adorable. What breed is he? He reminds me of a lab x lurches/greyhound. ..such a gorgeous face. Good job on the bread…looked delish! Have a great week guys

Gorrilla glue used correctly will help with the shelves guys. If you dampen the surface it expand as it dries and is really strong stuff. xxx

Put a scrap of wood over top of the thing you need to hit (unless its a nail obvs), stops you damaging either thing you're hitting, or the hammer. Also... bigger drill bit's are available :)

Just watching this one and saw how bad Amy's hayfever was.... I also suffer with really bad hayfever. I don't know why but I only found out this year that apparently you need to start taking antihistamines at least a month before the start of hayfever season so to start taking them around march/April time daily and by hayfever season the antihistamines should be well and truly in your system! I found this out that for this year but will defo make sure I do this next year, hopefully by then we will be on a boat for our own.... I might be worth giving it a try ne t year to see if it makes a difference?!?! X

Floating shelf brackets are always awful and never work as they should. Certainly never strong enough for logs. BUT as memory shelves they are lovely and perfect!

The hammer he used is for hammering the mooring pins in. In a narrowboat, you do not need things that you rarely use. As someone else here has said, just use a waste piece of wood between the hammer and your shelf. That is what I love about Wes and Amy, they do not always know exactly how to do it, but they do get the job done. No one is an expert in everything. Always love their positive attitude.
