That is a good question. How do you start out with an empty shell and turn it into a liveable narrowboat. Have a look at Oli Vella Narrowboat. Oli started out with one he found second hand that is in reasonable condition, a few bits of rust, nothing major and Oli is working his way up to giving her a really good 2 pack top and blacking. Well worth a look.

She said if ppl were to live on it least two continents in their lifetime it would better ppl understanding of other cultures. It was very important to her that I speak 2 other languages, other than English, of course lol. I chose German n french. She taught me well! Anyways, good luck on the next adventure for u two

I think from what we heard the company will usually offer a free touch up paint job or blacking and cleaning in exchange for it being used

@@BoatTime That doesn't seem like much, considering the amount of time they end up putting on some of those engines. Are all the engines on narrowboats, required to be diesel or electric? No regular gas engines?

@@AngryIrishMan Id say 90% of narrowboats are diesel, but there's a mix out there! A lot of modern boats are now incorporating electric. There are even steam powered narrowboats on the waterways which are super cool!
