He wrote and performed some of the greatest Motown and other bass lines and is arguably one of the most most talented, knowledgeable , innovative and versatile , tasty, in the pocket bass players of all time. Seems so very humble and engaging . Sad loss far to soon , Often as the true great and rare talents are. Respect!!!! Reply

Bob, a lot of us grew up listening to you, and we didn't know you. Ah, but we did...before we even knew your name. Even after finding out who the great James Jamerson was, and STILL didn't know you... you surprised us all with your skill and incredible performances. "Tears Of A Clown," is absolutely one of the best bass performances on a pop music track -ever. Your recorded legacy is incredible. R.I.P. my twin brother!

What a lovely man. When they make the movie of Bob's life story, they really have to get Robert De Niro to play the lead role. Thanks for the music. Bob. X
