Underrated album. Maybe Bob's voice is an acquired taste, maybe there are better guitar players, but there has never been, & never will be, a better songwriter, or poet ever. He nails the feeling and emotion every time, be it a love song or a political rant,. Bob,s social and political statements still resonate today. The word “genius” tends to get tossed around too frequently, but in Dylan's case it fits. The dude is a genius.

Marc Knopfler opened up for Dylan in San Diego years ago. We had 2nd row center seats. Marc played the Celtic and Irish folk songs. Really beautiful. Dylan comes on with his young band with him on keyboards and just shredded. It was so up tempo that these aging balding ponytailed hippies with tie dyes walked out. I guess they expected a acoustic set complete with six string and harmonica. Rock and roll will never dye. BTW,their seats were filled in seconds. He'd do these really complex introductions to the songs which I caught immediately with he audience catching on soon. The man smiled and laughed all night and we couldn't understand a word he said. LOL!
