I knew someone once who was a great musician. Now, he wasn't a great crafter, maker like Bobby here. What was great about him was that he sat with his guitar day in and day out. He felt that guitar everyday; that guitar got old with him. He once told me that music was medicine to him. It didn't matter if it was good or bad - he just needed it to survive. One day he says to me, 'What if you wake up one afternoon and from your window you see that your pharmacy no longer exists? What then? I'm learning to make my own medicine. I will do things to the air with this guitar.'

This song drips with anticipation of an impending hurricane and memories of past ones. Saw Andrew and two others on the Gulf coast.

It is a strong line. For some strange reason, the official book of Bob Dylan lyrics replaces this line with something much more lame.

Someone once asked him what he meant by that and he said he just wanted a word that rhymed with coat. Lol

No mistakes; only human error. It's only too often the things we 'forget' to mention. Things we choose to forget. Lies of omission, the most deadly of them all.

Once again defying the odds and ends making a brilliant album that is surely one of the greatest gospel introspective contributions of all time!

The reverberation of strings touches the soul more than the words. The variety of plucks and strokes add to the depth of his piece. Wonderful.

It sounds good but it contradicts itself. If there are no mistakes, then people are making decisions and not just floating.

Foreboding and stark! What a song with that haunting harp, acoustic guitars and percussion. Bob’s theatrical delivery is compelling. A mini movie; so descriptive you can visualize it. 👌🏻
