Your right there, one of the greats, to me he is the greatest, and yep he's still alive and touring at this very moment.

Dylan's on form here in the mid 80s with tom petty and the heartbreakers backing him up. He's one of the most interesting live artists there is and ever was he'd changing the melodies of his songs and even the lyrics and sometimes not giving a shit and mumbling through the song there are some golden periods throughout his long career these are just two periods 1966 world tour he was dynamite and 1975/76 another golden period which was also captured on film for everyone to see.

It's easy to learn to play the harmonica but it's hard to get as good as Dylan or Neil Young too I reckon.

Saw Dylan with Tom Petty in 88. It was a great show. It was an outdoor venue and they had several noise complaints lol…They traded on and off, back and forth…

I haven't seen this clip before...thanks for showing it. But it sure makes my heart ache to see Tom Petty...he's one of the few entertainers that, upon hearing about his death, it brought a lump to my throat and made me blink a few times to keep from crying. Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, were also in a group called The Traveling Wilburys. All those in the group were legends. Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, George Harrison (of the Beatles), Jeff Lynn (of ELO fame) and Bob Dylan. Unfortunately, most of the group have passed away, only Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynn are still alive.

Bob Dylan is one those artists that is all about talent. It's sad we're losing many of them. I like when you dig into the older music, that's what I like 70's-80's even into early 90's we had soo many artists and bands of all sorts . That time will be remembered in history. Just think about all the artists that came from that era.💜😁👏

If you listen and follow Dylan's musical career, he's written and performed songs for every emotional occasion, sometimes changing the tempo/lyrics to a faster or slower rendition to feel a different emotion, for example, listen to original Idiot Wind he's so bitter then listen to the slowed down version on Bootleg 1-3 which is heartbreaking he's reflecting the situation, he's unique, a one off, irreplaceable, the likes of whom we will never see again....

... with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and I think filmed here on tour in Australia? As many will know the original studio version of this song was featured in the MGM/Estudios Churubusco Azteca S.A. film Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid (1973), directed by Sam Peckinpah and simultaneously released on the Dylan CBS album of the same name and year along with other soundtrack music written by Dylan for the film.

You clearly love live concerts. That's why you need to check out the Grateful Dead - the GOATS of live shows. Also, Dylan & Garcia were close friends. Winterland '78 has video. Try 3rd set starting at 3:03:30 kzbin.info/www/bejne/d16mond8m69jiMU

Man, you gotta check out The Band. Specifically The Weight w/The Staple Singers. They where Dylans band when he went electric in 65. Also, the live version of Knockin on Heavens Door from the album Dylan and The Band Before the Flood is the best version of that song. Do yourself a favor and watch The Last Waltz. That shit saved my life.

@@franknabozny6062 it was already on the map, it was the sound track of a hit film you couldn't get away from it in the 70s, Axl Rose is a spoilt brat, nobody will be talking about him in a 100 years for changing the course of Music and the way rock and roll was written. DYLAN Nobel prize for literature, the best lyricist of all time. Axl Rose and Bob Dylan are in different leagues. Do some homework before you post.and been covered sooo many times and GNR, is bad now if IRON MAIDEN Bruce Dickinson that is a voice with Steve Harris galloping bass lines now come
