The drive inn I worked at had drive up stalls. They liked that so we had 2 different movies and 1 series filmed there. I met some of the actors, I cooked the food for the set. For the one scene that took all of 2 1/2 minutes of the movie by 6 hours to film , I made the same hamburger 25 times . They needed it fresh . About 10 of the cars for the 1 movie were 1950 60. My boss was paid good money, did I see any of it for my time , He'll No.. I don't know if it's the same there , but they have to hire a %age of locals when filming

They film so much in and around my town of Wilmington N.C. I live in a small beach town outside of Wilmington. The state gives money incentives to draw films to the area. A while back the powers that be decided to stop the funding and the movie and TV people took their movies to Georgia. The incentives have been somewhat restored and they just finished a movie in my tiny town. You are right, it is mostly waiting hours to film one scene. Then it’s right back to waiting. I’ve been on set before and it’s even boring to watch it close up. 😂 Have really enjoyed these last couple months of your videos. Not that I haven’t liked them all, but lately it’s been so fun. I enjoy pallet auctions and storage units. Then there is Finley. Adorable just like her parents. ❤

Hi tucker, that’s great to see filming going on near where you live, it gives an insert as it was like if you see old photos of the area, my family and I were visiting framlingham Castle in Suffolk last year , and as we were approaching the square it was all penned off for a filming crew we managed to sit on the cafes outside tables and watch them cool atmosphere 😊

In 1999, the movie "Message in a Bottle" starring Paul Newman, Kevin Costner, and Robin Wright was filmed in Maine. I lived within a mile of one of the locations, New Harbor, where they stayed for about 2 months. It was awesome. I saw Kevin within 6 feet. Drop dead gorgeous. Horror stories about Robin, demanding and horrible off set. Paul, I only saw from a distance but a true gentleman. It was a night scene between him and Kevin that looked like day with all the lights. Oh, and yes, all the boats in the harbor had their homeport changed. That was funny because the story took place in North Carolina. Look it up.

It was a cool thing to experience. I'm a local and when I was doing photo's I used other people as shields so they wouldn't see my camera as much. They were hawking me for sure though once they noticed me lol The same guy that told you not to film said to me on the second day I went there "We never forget people with a camera" but they were cool to anyone being respectful so I did the same thing as you and gave them their space when asked. Still got plenty of shots and footage though lol Cool experience to see unfold in our town. They got more intense with telling people no photo's or video's on their second day at the mall. I guess they freaked out a bit seeing all of the photo's of the set and actors being posted online after the first day. Like you said, what did they expect filming in a popular beach town? lol Loved your video, great work. I subscribed 👍
@tuckandsammie5 ай бұрын
Yeah they were all cool and just doing their job. Was kinda wild to start filming a blockbuster movie in the middle of a public street and expect people not to film. Honestly no one had to stop filming it was 100% legal to film and they knew it.
@JustinSteereMusic5 ай бұрын
@@tuckandsammie Yeah it was wild. I knew a good amount of the cops doing security so I would stand near them and take photo's so they wouldn't bother me as much. I like how the guy said to you "try to be discreet" instead of scolding you. That one girl watching the one side of the set was really nice and never really gave me a hard time. It was mostly just in that main area on the mall where they were really on alert. I used my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 to film and they had no idea what it was. I held it at my chest and they never told me to stop filming. They were paying more attention to me taking photo's. Terrible weather week for them but cool to watch it all unfold. I was joking with some of my friends that were on duty there and we said "A week of filming and all this production for probably 10-15 minutes worth of footage that they'll use for the film"

I heard a while ago that they were going to be filming parts of the new Superman movie near me in Ohio. I forgot all about it. I wonder if it's happened yet? I'll have to try to find out.
I've been an extra on two movies and on one hand it's pretty easy money but can be long hours, they paid me for using my car for two days, one day just parked, the other day a little bit of driving around. The downside is you lose a sense of magic once you see how movies are made.

One would think with all of the filming you do, and have done your whole life, you would have some stealth mounts for your GoPro and iPhone. Like inside your jacket with a hole cut out for the lens. They sell clips for these devices to articulate in every which way imaginable. Then again, I'm not sure of the law in NJ concerning filming people without their knowledge then posting it to YT.📽🎥📷📸

The Newport Jazz Festival was a big deal in the days of folk singers.....like Bob Dylan. But Dylan showed up one year and played an electric guitar for the 1st time and all the "acoustic" old timers flipped out. Thats probably one of the main points of this movie. But your video is probably much cooler than the film.
