I was in among the throng about 40 yards from the stage....young , fit and hairy with my lovely girl ! Now I got a head like a billiard ball and the old body the groans every time i move !! A very long day to travel from the south, but back then, like now, I would walk the world to see Bob.

I was there too , had smoked a lot of opium and taken some acid. But it’s still seared into my memory. I went to see him recently at the Albert hall in London , I had a seat with my sister in row 2 directly in front of his mike 10 ft away. Within 1 minute of him opening his mouth to sing .....I was crying.. a circle fulfilled. What an experience. He’s doing that to someone else somewhere in the world right now ! Bob , I hope your never ending tour goes on for as long as possible. Even when you may stop we will continue to listen. Lots of love , mark in surrey england

I hitch hiked from the north, slept roughed for a few days, 20 years old, sleepily got national express bus back from London and a beautiful girl in the aisle next to me asked when I awoke if I wanted a soft drink. Good moments all along the way.

@@stewartswick3744 Yes! Lyrically it may be Dylan's best. It came out when I was first getting into Bob, so luckily one of my older siblings already had it. And I fall in love with it every time as well, always changing my mind about which tune would be my fave, because it is impossible. Where Are You Tonight is my fave. For now!

Was there and what is so sad is that until finding this and some other footage, I had forgotten so much of that day. It was not long after our pal died and we were determined to go and have a good time even though Tim was gone. It is so back with me now, all these years after cos a close friend has lost her nephew in a bike crash and it all comes back to me so sort of bad and yet good to listen to this and have the years roll back.

I was there, what a great day. We lit cardboard boxes for flares at the end as he sang Forever Young. Then he flew away in a helicopter and I walked for what seemed like hours to Reading railway station and slept on the platform in a sleeping bag that a Welsh girl lent me. What memories...

We went to Blackbushe in a sort of tribute to our friend Tim who died in the April., This is not a favourite song, but it is brilliant so many years later to find this here. I think I might have to go and cry now cos this is bringing that whole era back to life so vividally.

Fabulous! And a fabulous show from Bob and his band! Sensational performance. I remember that at the end, like, midnight, all the cars set off at once, it was a complete jam, utter chaos, so we settled down in our cars until dawn was breaking, then made the escape with the help of the car-park marshalls... All part of the amazing experience.

As we walked back down a very crowded narrow road to the train station after the concert I said to my girlfriend "For God's sake keep hold of me and don't fall down. You'll be trampled." "There isn't room to fall down." She said. The potential for massive casualties at some of those gatherings...

You know i never rated Bob Dylan before, never even listened much to what he sung about. Then Rab, my husband who is a huge fan of his educated me in his music and more to the point his wonderfully interesting lyrics! so much so was taken then by his songs, i recorded a few and changed them into a more country feel to suit my style.. this is one we made a very cold recording of. Bob Dylans , " Senor " Janey Kirk - Senor ( filmed in Glencoe, Scotland )

i was there as a 17 year old first real experience of a big live event.Too many distractions at the time to really know how good the performances were. In retrospect after hearing the bootlegs i feel the Blackbush show in terms of Dylans singing was not as good as the earls court shows a few weeks before. Afraid this version where he starts to get vocally lazy and starts wailing tunelessly in parts, is a good reflection of the show overall and the U.S leg of the tour later in the year. Check out the Earls court shows they are the representation of the 78 tour
@robertnewell50573 жыл бұрын
I was at Blackbushe and 3 of the Earls Court shows. I loved them all. I think the problem at Blackbushe was that, in the 70s, sound just wasn't good enough to support large scale open air stuff.
