i am impressed by how smart you are cimdy, recognizing that it's the words backed by a hot band of musicians that does the trick. And from about this point on bob just keeps on putting together the best musicians and getting the sounds he wants. To this very day, great bands and bob in the top drawer if you ask me.

If you listen closely although written many years ago it seems that history does repeat itself!! People say this was Bob's spiritual phase but Bob's music was spiritual from the get go if you consider what he's always been saying! In the 60's Time magazine had a cover that said "God is dead" and it freaked Bob out and all he said was "were doomed"!

Great song, socia political l gospel Dylan style, with Mark knpfler on guitar, it can't get better than that..try *senior* one of his older stuff, i believe you will like it.
