Bob and George do a little sand dance, tell some jokes, and Bob plays Gracie Allen for a vaudeville routine. From a Bob Hope special, based on his book "Don't shoot, it's only me" Sept. 15, 1990

Each man made it to 100 (as did Hope's wife Dolores). Burns was active until an injury slowed him down at 98. Hope retired in 1993 due to vision and other health problems. Both men made occasional appearances thereafter. The fact that each performed into their 90's although neither needed the money, is a testimony to their devotion to entertainment. Hope's dedication to the Armed Forces is legendary, and Burns was well known for his generosity and kindness to others.

George Burns and Bob Hope as they are our cherished senior citizens are still clear with their wits and agile on the feet. Both George and Bob lived past 100 years before they passed away. They had a great sense of humor even before their deaths. I love the way they entertained the audience in the video.

what's more impressive is how Burns smoked all those cigars, and still lived to be 100!

Burns must have loved reliving some of those old Burns&Allen lines in front of an audience, with Bob Hope's help. And Hope must have loved doing that for him. And... their ages.. wow. Total pros.

It also shows how hard it is to live to 100, despite what so many say, so few actually do it (it's why 45 is still considered "middle age", because the chances of living past 90 are so low).

Yes, it's true. This television special was filmed in 1990. Burns was born in 1896, making him 94 years old. Hope was born in 1903, making him 87 years old. Both of them started performing in vaudeville acts in the 1920s, both remained active entertainers until a few years before their deaths, both men died at age 100 (Burns in 1996, Hope in 2003), and yes, both men were wearing a toupee :)
