by having the ac unit underneath instead of on top, you make it more prone to problems due to road grime, salt, etc. My FD runs horton boxes and they are nothing but constant issues!!

I did my EMT clinicals on a Type One Horton ambulance similar to this one and they have near constant suspension problems. Has anyone else heard of that with Horton or is it just a normal occurrence in the industry. I ask because all previous transports units with the department are Type III MedTecs and I haven't heard of any serious problems with those. Also the largest local fire department runs Freightliner Medium Duty MedTec Med Units and I haven't heard of any problems with those. Thoughts?

One sexy vehicle! I'd love to own a used Amby. I don't like the AC on the floor that is not smart. Also why is there not a diesel heater? Chinese brands are $100 on Amazon, use diesel fuel, no condensation, and you can tap into diesel tank or exterior cabinet. Seems like that would be the best heating source - efficient, cheap, no condensation, and easy. Pity you did not explain the inverter, and any generator, charging systems, how the electrical worked.
