they are made of the worst quality leather. they are all genuine leather, which is the lowest grade you can get. dave either is supremely ignorant or just sold his soul to promote substandard leather.

@@louiscyfer6944 You post a response to a three-year-old video to accuse the content creator Dave of being a shill? Really classy. So what if genuine leather is the lowest grade? Laco, Seiko, and many strap makers use this grade of leather because they are marketing products for a particular price point. It doesn't mean that they are inferior -- they are good enough for the intended purpose. Why don't you ask Dave himself how they are holding up after three years of use? BOB isn't hiding anything. If you feel that you can't wear anything other than Top Grain or Horween leather straps, then there are plenty of vendors out there that make products at that price level.

@@Lee_K_5555 i don't wear top grain either. i only wear full grain. high quality full grain leather is still not that expensive in the sizes that you need for a watch strap. you can get full grain leather straps for 30 bucks easily. i don't think Dave is a shill, he just doesn't, or certainly didn't know better. i didn't mention bob hiding anything.

I was thinking of getting either the "chrono" or "omega" strap for my speedy. Which would you recommend?

I think "chrono" is the style, and "omega" is the clasp design. If you have an Omega clasp you want to put it on, then get a chrono designed for the omega deployment clasp. but I recommend just the straight chrono strap with the regular tang buckle. The strap is robust, so it won't wear out quickly, and when it does finally wear out one day, you can order a new one and still be hundreds less than an Omega strap. The chrono is thick and robust, so if you want a meaty strap, that's the style you want.
