2:40 he clearly states what he wanted . 🙄 instead of a movie about Bob’s life during one of the most turbulent times in Jamaica making himself the spokesperson for love and peace . See these internet critics don’t get the point they just want views and engagement for the most part

A movie is not a documentary. It's an artistic expression on film for the purpose of entertainment.

The man did not look too much like Marley but tbh him and the lady playing Rita I thought did pretty well capturing the essence of the Marleys and I thought the accent wasn’t too bad for what it was, but besides the little minor things here and there I really enjoyed it and tbh it was very authentic and true to bobs story. But also tbh to me this is really a movie about spreading jahs messages and jahs light you know. And tbh that’s what bobs life was about was spreading the message and it captured that. Also most people I feel may be confused or miss some messages, some may take it too literal where some may get offended like when they speak of god. God goes before the earth was even made so god in reality is just an energy, no skin color. But some of the Rastas especially the teacher bob had, sees god of mankind as the first humans to branch away from the primates and start off the human journey. And it’s a fact that those humans were from Africa with more nappier Afro texture hair and or probably brown eyes. Not blond hair and blue eyes. But beyond human kind, Rasta is still a thing and is found with in all of us we are all one one people one entity, I and I. If you didn’t feel the energy, than it’s just not for you tbh. It’s not suppose to be about being hyped up or a stoner comedy like your wanting it to be. This is to spread jahs message

I really enjoyed the movie to be honest. The movie was just what it was supposed to be A Movie. It opens up the door for people to do their own research if you want in depth detail of his real life.

Hope you enjoy! I think it made such a wonderful tale of the strength of Jamaican people, especially during a hard time. And really painted an insight into Rastafarian culture that many don’t get. The rest is lacking…

I’m glad a BM movie has finally been made, fans feel nice. Only thing missing for me was what I felt after watching Rockers and Babylon. Maybe those producers should’ve been approached instead of BP 😀. Missed a trick there guys….

If you watched any of Ziggy's interviews in the past few weeks, he didn't want to focus on that, he wanted to focus on the emotion and what his father was going thru around that time when he was almost killed and also the love story between him and Rita. So this movie wasn't ever going to be about all that other stuff. Yall need to do your damn research before you run to YT with these reviews.

If the goal was to execute a love story, it failed on that level. If the goal was to give insight into his mind during a hard time, it failed at that. Those moments are attempted but feel surface level. Which can be an issue when family is attached and add a level of sainthood to the main focus. Just feel like the love story was hampered by even showing the affairs but never touching on it further. It’s like half the story of the Rita and Bob story

Why are you making excuse for Z Marley the truth needs to be told, Bob wasn't no saint he was womanizer and gunman and much more that is not told.

@@perryvalton3296one love, free love, open marriage. Rita had 2 children from 2 different men who were not Bob Marley, AFTER she was married to Bob Marley, and 3 with him, and 1 before the marriage.....

💖Good movie: 7/8. Kingsley= 8.5 Lashana=8 You want too much so got nothing. Hollywood spoil you people with lust. So you want the lust, the affairs. You don’t want the message or the knowledge. It is not a life story. It’s 2 years in his life after an attempt in his life.

Dude, watch Ziggy Marleys interviews, he explains WHY the movie didn't include A LOT of what everyone expected, the movie was scripted from the families point of view NOT Hollywoods! FFS! do your research before you post your shit!

I’ve seen the Ziggy interviews. There was even a special message included. The issue is having the family involved to such a level that it hinders the story being told. The Rita and Bob love story is only half there, with the hardships Bob put her through (and she did with him) being ignored so it makes it feel superficial. Either make it a hard hitting love story or go a different route

How can you be engaged when you are from a total different culture and most likely don't have a clue? I watched the movie and to be honest i didnt even noticed the weed smoking that much. You are eatching the movie with preconceived motions.

So much disdain for this biopic of a legend. What? Not enough drugs for you? Did you need a scene with SA from a relative? Maybe if the character was gay? It seems like in all of your reviews, unless one of those tropes are in there, you don't like it....

Gotta love the “Not enough drugs for you” for a movie where they smoke weed every other scene 😅😂🙈

The rating really hurt this movie, it could have really benefited from an R rating. Allowing the film the opportunity to really explore some of the darker elements that arise.

Just like in the movie when " Exodus" was presented the writing was in Ethiopian script but it went over the promoter head. So too you, you are too shallow to understand what is happening. So why did you watch it if you want entertainment ? Please also allow those who can speak Patios to critique Patio.
