i saw these guys in '94 at the Paramount in Seattle. They were the loudest band I'd ever seen. I was in the fourth row and I got my face ripped off.

This was late 1994. This album didn't come out until September of that year.

great interview. was very unusual to hear bob talk about the huskers so candidly back in the 90´s.

Magnapop opened! It just came to me. Bob produced the record they were touring behind. Great band.

I was at this show and have Bobs' set list and the very thin nylon guitar pick he used at the show.

I don't think he understood at that time the impact of Huskers music. new Day Rising was more than just a "quick follow-up" to Z.A. It was in neo-psychedelic masterpiece

I saw Sugar on tour in the UK around about this time, probably a little earlier. I always remember Quadrophenia was played in its entirety before the gig. And Sugar were excellent !

I was a freshman in high school in 93 and I will assure you that EVERYBODY didn't exactly like them in 93 but they sure did in 95 though.

The best bit of this interview was when Bob told Stone Temple Pilots and Green Day that they will NEVER be Jimmy Webb. Love him

Everyone liked Green Day in 1993? Weird, seeing them lined up with STP like that.
@beeswaxlike11 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was 13 by '95 so I remember the Green Day/Offspring thing. But this was in 1993, so I don't get how he named them as some big mainstream rock band.
