I've been experimenting with the "markup" feature on my cell phone editing, using highlighter and pen colors on white background, to create elementary "art". Weirdly, my best picture to date had a "happy accident" (a bright green accidental line against a darker background [trying to be a memory of my stroll through the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee]) which I turned into a bright green tree. Nothing looks realistic, like Bob's paintings, but the finished effect is terrific. At first, I groaned, "Oh, NO!", but then I thought, "It's not a mistake -- it's a happy accident. How can I use this bright green line?" It totally made the picture! Thanks, Bob! You'll be teaching and inspiring many generations yet to come! R.I.P. 💕😺❤️

I watch this before I fall asleep. I can't fall asleep watching these because I have my laptop in bed. I feel asleep about a year or two ago to a video and woke up at 1:00am to a dream where I thought I dropped something on the ground. I didn't drop anything until I woke up. I woke up in my dream and then when I woke up for real I had my laptop slide off my bed and onto the ground and break. I had to be asleep for a good few hours before that so I'm surprised it don't fall of my bed while I was asleep.

I actually want an almighty easel and all the equipment and pain he has. If I did I would definitely be painting so often, but I get emotional attachments so easily, I'm not sure if I'd be able to sell any for a "happy buck".

I realize this comment is like 4 years old, but I figured I'd tell you this just in case you haven't found out yet...Bob Ross designed his very own line of paints- including the liquid white, liquid clear, and black gesso, brushes- made with his personal specifications to create each effect while painting, easels, odorless paint thinner, bucket and screen to clean your brushes, and the same giant artist's palette that he uses. There are even Bob Ross sets, from the basic Bob Ross set to the Bob Ross master set to help take out all of the guesswork. I read that all these paintings he did for his show were copies of paintings he had already painted. If you watch his eyes you can see him looking over to his right at the original to make sure he doesn't miss something. Still awesome to see him do an entire painting in real time though.

Sometimes he WOULD wait for it to dry to maby add a little deer after it dries.... but in general, no. The paint is firm so if you scrape away the excess it is very easy to put more on top. Without drying! :) Thin paint sticks to thick paint.... Not the other way around.
