You also do the lights by using the pointed makeup Q-tip to clear the paint for the the lights, then use a tooth pick to pull out the little streaks of light. What a great project Yovette

I do not go out in the sun without hat and sunglasses, and never wear any makeup except for very special occasions and KZbin, and then it is only a little blush and liner. Love the pace in which you go. It gives a newbie, like me, a chance to paint along without having to pause. I'm curious if your filbert brush is hog hair, or a synthetic material? BTW, beautiful painting!

I am happy Nellie that my slow pace makes it easier for you to paint and follow along. That is my goal, especially for new painters. Also happy you liked the painting. The brush I am using is a Bob Ross #6 filbert. It is not a synthetic, it is hog hair. Very strong and sturdy. Pretty much any filbert bristle will work. I really smash it down to loosen the bristles. Hope that helps you.

Yes Eveline, this is a filbert hog brush. I am using the Bob Ross brush, but any #6 hog bristle should work. I smash it down pretty hard on my palette to get it to spread out. You should be able to find this kind of brush in any art store, or online like Amazon. 🎄
