I think it's because it's not a "God Bless" that comes from compulsion, but one of compassion and well wishing, as though to say "I wish you well." There's "God Bless", and then there's "God Bless You." The latter is more personal, because of the "you", and can be used to condescend under the guise of being benevolent. Ross, along with the other visionaries of public access television, led a campaign of genuine care that the everyday person wasn't used to getting with their basic, boring TV service. It's amazing to think about how their seemingly small contributions drastically transformed culture.

actually not. internet existed in 80' between many institutions including universities. Army used kind of internet in 80. The public one has been run in the beginning of 90' and since 1995 it has spread in most countries over the world with very limited content and relatively expensive access to it. But the idea was even earlier. TCP/IP protocol was invented in 70'
@katashley103110 ай бұрын
@@Corleone007having lived with an IT expert for 7 years, whose whole life was centered around that technology, until the "world wide web" began to develop, oh so slowly in the late 90s, civilians had no use for the Internet really. My art teacher told us that Bob isn’t an artist because his artworks lack emotion and they don’t have a message. She said his art is technically perfect but nothing else... Like that man IS the message. He IS the artwork. Also you’re wrong.
@MrKevin4865 жыл бұрын
Your art teacher isnt a teacher she is an ideological fool. She hates him not only because how talented he is but more because he is a Male who is so gentle and genuinely good it does not fit her view that all males are horrible people by default.
@bethanysangra39035 жыл бұрын
Art doesn't need to have an explicit message, but it always has emotion. It holds the emotions of the artist. Everyone who does art is an artist, it's a descriptor. You're art teacher is probably bitter. And these paintings are so emotional, you look at it and feel such kindness and love and longing and everything bob felt. That's what makes art beautiful, especially his
@Stephanie-uy6vo5 жыл бұрын
What most people don't know is that Bob started as a cartoonist and then went on to be a traditional oil painting artist which takes years to master. Once he discovered the art of "wet on wet" oil painting Bob took off! He didn't invent the wet on wet style but he made it explode and some artists just can't stand it.
@rabbitraisin5 жыл бұрын
I have a friend who was in art school and she paints amazing and beautiful things, mostly water and nature scenes, and her art teacher said similar to her - "your paintings are technically good but lack character" (I wish I could show you a painting she's done so you can see how wrong that is) and berated her for not having a "relatable social commentary". I think some of these so called teachers just hate beauty, nature and purity.
@berserker34145 жыл бұрын
@@rabbitraisin I think both types of art are art. We can have a world where soft simple beautiful art and edgy social art live together. I'm fed up of snobs saying what should or shouldn't be art. I'm more of an edgy artist myself, but I love beautiful pieces. I won't paint them but it's nice to look at them. Sometimes you just gotta draw people and nature to practice or calm down. My art teachers were like that too. They hated anime for the same reason.
