I sensed a lot of sadness in Bob this episode. I know he hadn't long lost his mum, and together with this being around the time he was diagnosed with lymphoma, as well as knowing his wife had cancer, it obviously must have been an extremely difficult time. Rest in peace, Bob. Such a nice bloke.

Bianca Turner As the original poster said, he had lost his mom, his wife died in 1993 from cancer and he was diagnosed with lymphoma himself and died in 1995.

Heaven, where Bob Ross rightly stayed, didn’t have Wifi, which would have otherwise let me shown him all the heartfelt comments he has received on his channel from my tablet, the device I use every night to witness his humble masterpieces come to life.
