In my opinion, Bob’s greatest accomplishment through the years was never getting paint on his shirt.
@viachesslove99073 жыл бұрын
I thought about that but he didn't use watercolor method. This paint is "dry" and apparently it doesn't go everywhere when tapping/mixing. However... when he was smashing those brushes against the easel leg - how the eff did he survived the damage? Maybe it was some kind of nanomachines based paint or thinner - it attacked only the cameramen and the crew. Or he was inside the eye of the storm... 🤔
@sursurrus Жыл бұрын
@@viachesslove9907just curious if you've done much painting? The paint spatter from Bob's devil beating method only goes sideways, he'd have to use big curving strokes that ended with the bristles pointed towards him to get on his shirt. Also, what the hell is the watercolor method of oil painting? Because I've never heard of it, and google doesn't know.

The first SECOND I opened this video, I KNEW it was one of Bob's "Crazy Day" paintings. I don't *really see the impact of that crazy background from the beginning in the final product, but in all honest that pattern just looked cool on its own! But to the final product, one of the best ones of this series so far to me. I love how the mountain is just subtly off to the left, hidden behind big bushes and whatnot. Those blue bushes have got to be the best part of this painting. The detail in highlights, and the depth with the black spots in them, are the best combination ever. Of course the cabin was just as cute and little and sweet as always. I love when he puts on the snow on the roof. Lastly, but certainly not least, is the very, VERY end after the credits. Mentioning Bob's mother was the sweetest thing that the show could have done. Without her, like Bob says, "There would be no Joy Of Painting". And that is very true. Without here there would be no Bob, no Steve, no bird lady for us to see, no peapod, no ASMR, no nothing. God bless you Mrs. Ross. I hope you are enjoying being with your son now up in those Happy Little Clouds... _* Hope you enjoyed my Happy Little Review, as always~ *_

I think that even in his time on TV you could see Bob's own skill as a painter improving. This is definitely a more detailed painting than in earlier seasons. Maybe he got better with time or maybe he was able to do more in the same time frame but either way, as the seasons progress his paintings get more and more sensational. I especially think his cabins improved a lot from earlier paintings where they often seemed a bit *too* rough. I agree the background didn't seem to make a whole heap of difference to the final painting. But it's always fun to watch how Bob transforms his blobs and splotches at the start into these amazing landscapes!
