I made the mistake of confusing some of the text of Disintigrate for Finger of Death. So BOB would still have got to make death saving throws and only rised as a zombie if he died, not immediately.

Maybe a little too serious... if Bob died at the beginning (which it's almost a miracle that he didn't) before doing anything in the episode, would he have just sat there for the rest of the session? Sounded like permadeath too since he would have been turned into a zombie. I'm a little worried that this series is going to just end on a "bummer, they all died" Edit: Want to make it clear I'm not hating on Rob, I know that he is a great GM and seems like a genuinely great guy. I just think it's a little intense since the cast is mostly non-D&D playing entertainers, but still love the series and all people involved.

The super cuts are each session, and theyre broken down into roughly 25 to 30 minute cuts. So 1 month is 2 out of 6 hours of the session, meaning that they could get together every 3 months

Two repeated notes in the comments: No, Uncanny Dodge nor Evasion would apply to a Con Save. Yes Hellish Rebuke would work if he was within 60'. No, him being stealthed makes no difference if he leaves the cover he's standing behind AND the bad guy has specifically taken the ready action to hit the next guy he sees over there. Stealth isn't invisibility.

Bob is at the same time the unluckiest and luckiest player ever. He frequently gets down to 1-2 hit points, sometimes is down, but never killed. Even now, where dropping to 0 hit points would have killed him immediately, he barely escaped. I feel he's hated by the Dice Gods, but loved by Death.

For the "tentacles going for the dragon" part, I feel that Rob was trying to put the saying of "DM controls the players' enemies, but DM is not the players' enemy" into practice. The best tactic for the baddies would probably be trying to finish off Greg and Bodger first, then go deal with Baradun's dragon spirit. But that would definitely make things a lot less fun for the whole team. So instead, Rob decided to give Alan/Greg a chance to shine by having his Guardian of Faith a couple chances to attack. Seems like things went better for BATD than Rob expected though, and now it looks like the tides are turning in this battle...

That moment at the end of the episode when the outro music started during Baradun´s turn I knew it was gonna be a Wild Magic Surge cliffhanger! Would have been more impactful if the effect wasn´t immediatly shown in the preview a few sconds later though.

Wouldn't Bob still been in stealth? I don't remember his last action was, but he does usually hide after every turn. Either way, this combat is really pushing the crew.

You could roll a 69 stealth and it wouldn't make a difference if you walk through the door he's actively staring at, waiting for you to step through.

Y'all ever notice the gang never up-cast their spells? Like Alan, you could heal SO MUCH if you cast cure wounds at 4th or 5th level, even Healing Word or Mass Healing Word. Baradun could do like 10/12 D6 damage if he up cast fireball.

When low on spell slots, upcasting is almost always a diminishing return on casting an appropriately levelled spell.

@@RobertHartleyGM that's definitely true, particularly when you're low on spell slots. At their level, they don't have many 4th and 5th level spell slots but I'm pretty sure they should have a fair amount of 2nd and 3rd level slots by now. Cure wounds, inflict wounds, healing word and guiding bolt are solid first level spells that can be up-cast by a level or two. I'm less familiar with the Sorcerer spell list and what options Baradun would have. I've played a cleric and I'd really like to know what Greg keeps for his list, given it can be swapped out daily. And Rob, if you could please remind Alan(or make a little card like you did for Rowan) that his healing is "Wisdom modifier + 2 + the level the spell is cast at" I've caught a time or two that he's just done "wisdom (3)+ 2+1" when it should've been higher from an up-cast.

I feel as though greg isnt adding his proficiency bonus to his spell attacks. Only a +4? I would of assumed he'd be +8.

Yeah probably looked straight at his Wisdom mod. Everyone's super tired at this point, they're all making small mistakes. Part of real sessions though!
