Bob’s NIGHTMARE 1997 Seadoo Challenger only revving to 5k RPM’s test ride .

So this thing only runs to 5000 RPMs, we have replaced the carburetor with a brand new Mikuni we have replaced the intake manifold we have pulled the raves check those we tried another computer because I had a spare one and we bypass the fuel selector valve and went directly from the Carburetor to the fuel tank bypass in the fuel filter also. Customer says that it’s been to a couple other mechanics.

Mime is doing the same thing to a T but on both motors. Please if anyone has any ideas I'm open to suggestions. Not carburetors

Apparently there’s a TSB from seadoo about the rave valves needing to be updated? I’m not familiar with the 787 but that’s what I saw from a quick google search.

OE style were prone to breaking. Update raves have a line milled into them so you can tell the difference.

I'm no expert, but my experience if you play with throttle and it works it's a linkage adjustment

We actually tested that by leaving the arrester off and can look right down inside the carburetor when it’s running and you can make sure that the butterfly is opening up properly in which it was.
