A couple of guys who used to hang out a bit in the late 70's/early 80's. I guess Seger spent some time at The Power Station in NYC while The Boss was recording the "The River." For the first time in his career, Bob was having real problems with getting his classic "Against The Wind" record finished and reached out to Bruce for some advice and help in the studio. There are also a couple of real cool stories about Bruce and Tom Petty hanging around the Sunset Strip during the late 70's. Petty asked for Bruce's advice during his own lawsuit ordeal. Bruce told him to keep playing live and don't give into the fuckers in the suits. All three of these men are unique in 70's music in that they all signed solo recording deals but had LEGENDARY backup bands that we so incredible that it was hard to think of them as backup bands.
