Kelly, my dtr Cody sent me this. She worked with your son down in Springfield few yrs back. I live near Liberty.I was a single mom to my 2 youngest and connected with most everything. I am also a nurse and my dtr is with a female partner. (I never get the acronyms correct so I stay away from voicing them) If you ever want to have coffee sometime holler at me.😂

she reminds me of my mom in that sometimes i see in her face she is a little offended by something you said but takes a beat, and uses that as a moment to make you feel bad for hurting her feelings and i just think that's so beautiful

I've been a devoted fan since 2019 but I gotta say, I'm only a third of the way through and this conversation already makes me respect you even more than I did before. Seeing you be your true self with her, the ease with which both of you can joke and be serious in the same breathe, the natural way you can talk to her like a friend without crossing the line. As someone from the south raised Christian but who has become much more worldly and open-minded, hearing your conversation about life and religion is basically what I dream of being able to have with my family some day. This episode was so awesome.

When you said not the Christmas when I was ungrateful. This past Christmas I called my grandmother to say thank you for the gifts before I open them and then forgot to call her after and then a few days later she called me ungrateful even though I had said thank you once already. Sent her a Mother's Day card this year that said "Always Grateful." Although it's impossible to humble a 97 year old woman.

My mom also just recently told me that she's sad that she missed a lot of really important moments as well. I feel for your mom. Its tough. And man, I always say a part of adulthood I love even though it can hurt sometimes, is that you really see them as the people they are and not just mom or dad. It makes you reflect and reevaluate so much.

I just discovered Caleb a few days ago. He's such a funny human being, and this episode had me both laughing and crying. I love your relationship with your mom; it reminds me of my own mother. She also had children young and would say her biggest downfall and her best attributes were being very caring and selfless. Unfortunately, as her children grew up and didn't need her as much, she felt an emptiness and didn't get a chance to take care of herself. I miss her every day. Thank you for this episode ❤️
