IMO Pattinson’s suit is the best. He looks lean, mean and agile which is more realistic in the way Batman fights. Affleck looked too bulky and heavy

*I think the word you're looking to describe pattinson's suit is 'practical' since his version of batman is only a few years old so i think we're still seeing his suit in development but also see him using what he can get his hands on, his suit looks very balanced since it looks reliable and sturdy but there can be room for improvements and i think we'll see these improvements to his suit in the sequel if announced.*

Robert Pattinson's cowl has the perfect ear length. Medium length. Not too tall... but not short either. Medium has always suited Batman the most in my opinion. That way it looks grounded but still looks "Batty" enough. If they're too long he no longer feels grounded. If they're short ears than he kind of looks too thuggish and loses a bit of his battiness.

I love the BvS suit. I've built my own suit which took over a year to make. Kevlar, carbon fiber, graphene, and stainless steel. My cowl is latex lined with Kevlar, and it has the thick neck look, which I prefer. It's very flexible.

@@Bob-ry5hz well, if you look at the way Bale fights throughout the films, it is very stiff and pedestrian. Batman is supposed to be a highly skilled martial artist, but in these movies he only ever throws around his elbows and shoulders at people. Also, the editing doesn't help. Too many jarring jump-cuts and bad angles. Nolan is known for being unable to shoot good fight scenes.

@@Bob-ry5hz the main excuse Nolan used in regards to the look of the fight scenes, was that he wanted them to look "grounded and realistic", but that doesn't mean they can't be well shot, edited or choreographed. So far, the Batman is showing a lot of promise in that aspect. The fights look gritty but still exciting to watch.

Bale and Pattinson suits are the more down to earth suits than anything else. Every other batman suit is too muscled and non realistic Bale and Pattinson will always be the greatest Batmen ever...period.

The thing I love the most about Affleck’s batsuit is the use of a grey tone along with the black that provides contrast. All of the other modern batsuits use all-black, and while it certainly looks badass, from a design perspective, it just provides no contrast. All of the details, even the iconic bat symbols, just get lost in the suit because they’re the same colour as the rest of it. Unless it’s a shiny black against a matte black, there’s nothing there to provide contrast and help details stand out. Affleck’s suit, however, uses the grey perfectly. It’s not too light to where it doesn’t fit the aesthetic surrounding the modern batman characters, but it’s also light enough to provide real contrast to the black parts, like the bat symbol, and help them stand out (as any good symbol should do). I’m happy to see it at #1 in this ranking, because it really does what no other modern batsuits do: It *shows off* the bat symbol, it tells people “This is the Batman” without needing to be up close to him to make out the black symbol against the equally black background.

One of the reasons why I dont really like Pattinson's suit is because of the lack of gadgets, batman is supposed to have a whole armory concealed in his suit, Pattinson didn't even throw the iconic batarang in the movie and had only used 5 or less gadgets, what I do like however is that the batsuit is now finally bulletproof to small arms which is nice to see

I totally agree with the neck thing. The “tube neck” looks fine in the comics because he can move his head but in live action it just looks claustrophobic and uncomfortable. If the BvS suit separated the cowl into two pieces (i.e. a helmet piece and a neck piece) I think it would have literally been the perfect live-action batsuit.

Affleck's batman suit in BvS was the closest to the comics and it was the most intimidating. When I saw him on the wall, I thought to myself, that's fricking Batman! It was made for combat with all the wear and tear on the cowl. Pattinson's suit is good as well, and you can tell his suit seems like it's made for detective work and less for combat. Those 2 suits are my favorite.

Batman returns Michael Keaton's suit is my personal favourite n the most iconic imo since Michael Keaton definitely is my favourite live action version of the dark knight. Kilmer's classic Batman suit is the most underrated one by far. Despite of the atrocious nipples I think it was a pretty cool alternative version of the Burton's suit,besides it fits the movie nicely.

The neck has been my peeve too! The thick stiff necks take away from the agility and mobility you expect Batman to have. I hated how it looked like me when I wake up with a stiff neck and can only talk to people by turning my entire torso. The Batman was a big improvement, and I like the collar. It’s practical and would add protection to a vulnerable area…at least in Batman’s early years until his materials development has improved.

The cowl and collar make it look more fetishy than B&R which is saying a lot. The thick neck gives the suit an elemental look that inspires strength and make the head area look unhitable in a sense. the batfleck suits made neck turns possible.

Double edged sword. The Batman Begin's suit is probably the most intimidating looking Batman suit I've seen. However, the KZbin dude is right about the neck looking like a tube. I noticed the way Bale had to duke-and-turn to move his head, which looked really weird. But he's right that in some scenes that suited just looked so freaking good and absolutely menacing, especially that hallway sequence in the asylum where he uses the bats to escape from the police leading up to the Tumbler chase.

@@billywashere6965 The problem with the suit, and in fact, all these rubber suits, is that it's only really made to pose in. So sometimes it looked amazing, like in that Arkham hallway scene you're talking about, and sometimes it's really, really obvious he can't move in it, and they had to cut the action scenes to hide it as much as possible. But that's the case for every Batman before him, especially Keaton. By Batman Returns, he was making fun of it with fight moves that looked like a Three Stooges routine. I think the bigger problem is that, while the suit looks pretty good from the front, Boba is right that it looks completely absurd in profile, and in action. The redesign was sorely needed.

Adam West Batman was responsible for Michael Keaton Batman. Those of us who grew up with the 1966 Batman were the ones who pushed for a Batman movie through the late 70’s thru the late 1980’s. That show started the craze to make live action superheroes like Hulk, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Captain American and Great American Hero. There were others I can’t remember. I know the special effects were chezzie, because of the times, but it set up audiences for the future.

It was such a Joy to see Battinson’s suit in action in the trailer because it got a lot of hate for the leaked set photos with the stunt double. I was on board with the people saying to wait for the official trailer, because suits look way different on a stunt double riding a motorcycle with bad lighting than an actual scene in the film. It’s easily my favorite suit with BVS suit being a close second place.

The thing is, if you saw that suit in real life it would look like how the stunt double looked, not like in the trailer. To Batfleck and Baleman's credit, both of those suits look absolutely drop-dead bada$$ in real life, even in the behind-the-scenes shots. Not so much for Pattinson.

@@billywashere6965 Pattinson’s suit has only been seen in real life on the stuntman though. It actually looks pretty decent compared to Batflecks Stuntman. Ben affleck suit bvs (minus the extra padding and the cowl was a tad bit too square) , Batman begins, Batman 89. The Robert Pattinson suit needs some work imo just a more closed cowl around the jaw (I saw a fan art with white eyes and mouth piece like Arkham cowl) and slightly longer cape, And was bummed he doesn’t have the sharp points on the gauntlet they’re just straps I believe :/

Yeah the neck portion of the Batman Begins suit always just looked off to me. Something in between the size of the Begins suit and the Dark Knight suit would've been perfect. It just looks too big on the Begins suit, and then it just looks too small on the Dark Knight suit.

@Vinko Stipetić Yeah definitely, I watched that episode being told it'd been years since Bruce came back to Gotham. He had a different actor's voice for adult Bruce when he spoke to Selina but somehow still has his baby-face with Jim, Nigma, Cobblepot and others looking like they hadn't aged a day......And you know why? Because the writers probably came to a realization that they made most of the villains appear before Batman and so when Batman would finally return, all his enemies would have some proper wrinkles by now (Cept for J)

I really think Battinson's and Battfleck's suits are equally awesome, each one matching with it's time: Pattinson looks really good as Batman in it's early days, Just like Battfleck is the perfect representation of the dark Knight comic's look. Dead even for me.

For me its the Pattinson suit, then the darknight suit and then the justice league suit.. i prefer the metallic look to those suits. Since batman fights bad guys with guns and all sorts you can imagine batman having metallic armer that would repell the bullets. Like we saw in the Pattinson trailer when he took a shot to the chest. The bvs suit just looks to leathery and is only made like that to look aesthetically pleasing. The fake muscles in the suit just makes it look so fake. But thats just my opinion.

I like how Robert Pattinson thrusts his chest upward so that the bullet hits his chest. It's like how sometimes the chest is the most protected part of the suit and the logo attracts the eye of the gun user like a target.

My only beef with Pattinson's suit is how bulletproof it was. There is no way that suit is taking point blank rifle fire from all directions and not once getting penetrated. But I guess that's more a gripe with the writing than the suit itself
