Just beautiful. Captures the essence and the mood of the film.

One of the first Scott scores I bought when it came out on vinyl, and still a favorite of mine after all these years.

I have been wanting to find this for the longest time... The Shooting Party is only two movies (so far) that have made me burst into tears at the end. The other movie being - Vertigo.

La música dr John Scott siempre cautiva con sus melodías!! Uno nunca sale defraudado de escuchar sus bandas sonoras. Grato deleite para el Espíritu! Muchas gracias!

New fan of JS here. Grew up on Williams and Goldsmith. JS is just what I've been looking for. Incredibly emotive orchestral goodness. Feel free to drop some recommendations!

Boring and just uninspired. Scott composed so much better scores (Anthony and Cleopatra, Lionheart, Webs and Other Wonders etc.)...

... Different strokes I guess! I think it's a fantastic score and while certainly a different manner than the ones you mentioned, no less quintessentially Scott's own voice and sound-world.

This one of the best film scores by any composer of the last hundred years ~ bar none. Anything but boring. It owes much to those like Gustav Mahler, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. A work of genius.
