@armytruck085 жыл бұрын
Probably wouldn’t have missed those bites using a centerpin.
@debbieerickson36955 жыл бұрын
Why are centerpins better ?
@armytruck085 жыл бұрын
Less slack in the line with a float . Centerpin is easier to detect a strike or small nibble for setting your hook . Look at all the slack in the line with the coffee grinders . they use . By the time they tried to set the hook a few times they missed the fish . Great fishing though . Just my personal preference. Level wind reel is a bit better to as you can free spool with your thumb as you drift your float downstream and always have your line taut for that strike .

they clipped the ventricle fin and the adipose???
@evanlafky43475 жыл бұрын
They were actually pectoral fin clips - not ventral. I'm curious about those clips as well. Adipose and a ventral clip are pretty common to mark different hatchery fish - but I havent seen many pectoral clips.
@ilovefriedrice98915 жыл бұрын
@@evanlafky4347 probably a mistake from doing hundreds of smolts earlier in the day. i would imagine without its pectoral fin, either of them. the fish would have a lower survival rate

I'm from a state with neither but I'm fairly certain that's a steelhead argument. Salmon is literally a species
@brodygoodall16955 жыл бұрын
Nolan Minor the thing that makes it a salmon in general is the fact that it comes from the pecan dude which is why a steelhead is is in the salmon family not a salmon in fact but yeah I could see the argument but literally to be a salmon it needs to come from the ocean or it’s a landlocked whatever species it is

There's no school like the old school and I've been rigging my spoons like that for as long as I can remember. The double swivel keeps torque off of the hook so when a coho starts to gator roll the hook spins with the fish.
