Hey Spencer leaches work great along riprap for spawning cats. Also if your in a no current situation work it back occasionally like you were fishing a jig and bobber it can work great at times. Also watch for swirls sometimes they hit as soon as you drop it into the area. Thank you for great content. 😊

I used to doodle cat in Grand Lake Oklahoma @ twin bridges. We dropped shrimp between the rocks in about 5' water near train track rip rap. We caught tons during the spawn. That was in the 70's lol thanks for the memories.

Man there's just something about bobber fishing or tight lining with bells on the poles while you kick back and listen to a ball game on a summer evening.

We had a family campout this last week and we're tearing up the channels with live and cut bluegill. We're at mazingo lake in nw Missouri. Most were prespawn and were all between 8 and 14 pounds. Healthy channels no matter where you go. They were on rocks or the channel leading to the rocks. We floated rocks just like you did in the vid except we used bigger bait. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏

It's a blast from a kayak too. I call it flipping for channels. Just a big clip on float and a hook set to 3-4ft. Flip it up to the bank and slowly reel it back, letting the bait hover above the bottom.😊

Doodlesocking-never heard that before. Actually thought you meant using a bobber, but it googled to using light tackle, with and without a boober. Some fine eating cats, but tossing 'em back puts the males guarding the bed until the fry pop out. Good vid!

Cool video once again bro! Never seen it done quite like that before but I know a good spot with what I always have heard called "rip-rap" near me and I think I'll give it a shot. One more thing... that first spot under the bridge to me looked very snakey. You had on shorts and flip-flops 😮. Maybe, maybe not.... And I definitely would have busted my ass getting the rod that was yanked in the water. Hahaha
