Witness is one of my favorite Harrison Ford movies! watched it soooooo many times as a kid! I grew up around Amish and Menonites in central PA

I think this performance right here is his greatest performance to this day! He acted his ass off in this and recieved his well deserving Academy Award Nomination.

In the last shot, he did a "Honey, that's great coffee" shot, as in Witness, but also I think he did a commercial once before Witness, now again at the end lol Like a go-to cover move lol He has his own style for sure!

I can’t help but comment about the journalist talking about Blade Runner. It’s still amazing to me when I hear journalist say it’s Film was not successful based on his box office draw. Like Harrison said it was successful and it’s on right and look at it now 40 to 45 years later still a cult classic and loved by millions and millions of people and has a very successful sequel
@BookClubDisaster Жыл бұрын
Clearly her take hasn't aged well but the movie was considered a bit of a disappointment at the time. Mediocre box office and I believe mediocre reviews. It's one of those movies that only over time came to be seen as a classic.

The fact that there is a Bladerunner sequel affirms the success of the original.

Yeah, I suppose you could make that argument...but The Human Centipede had a sequel, too. Does that mean the first one was a good film...a "success?"

I can see why Harrison Ford dreads interviews. Bobbi smiling while she says "Blade Runner was crap" and "Are you afraid of being typecast?". Meanwhile, Blade Runner was a seminole science fiction movie that literally all sci-fi movies continue to borrow from.

She's usually a good interviewer but yikes why bring up a box office failure in your first few minutes of the interview? Interesting that Blade Runner went on to become a cult classic. Dirty Harry? She did such a thoughtful interview with Kelly McGillis on this same movie and a rather shallow, bordering-on-insulting one here. She's not even asking about Witness. No wonder he hated interviews.
