Warm thank yous from Toronto... I look forward to your clips - inspiring and funny too. Then I slink up to my studio and spend a day painting a couple of fingers or a nose. Your art world is so much more fun. Would you please consider giving an online course and get me out of this figuartive hell :) ? Merry Christmas Bob, you're such a gift! Thank you for being there.

Great way to mount paintings. What paper are you using for your paintings? Are you using watercolor paper or Bristol paper.
@RobertBurridgeBobBlast6 жыл бұрын
Watercolor paper - 300 lb.

Thanks Bob, excellent tip indeed! Just wondering why using gel medium? Can we use a good strong archival quality glue? Gel mediums are pricey too. Would welcome your thoughts.

Sure you can use a strong archival glue - I have had the best luck with the gel medium. My favorite is from Nova Color.

Hi Bob, wondering if lepages spray adhesive would be OK. Really enjoy your videos thanks so much for sharing

love this idea -- paper art is so much easier to store - than if one is good enough to frame - a great way to do it! Thanks -- How does one get you to come to an area for a class? Have you heard of Sagutuck Michigan? A great art community

I wonder if you could use Mod Podge instead of gesso?

Hi Bob thanks so much for sharing your talents I was wondering what type of paper you use when adding to the canvas is it watercolor poster board or does it matter Hugs and Smiles

Bob paint on heavy watercolor paper covered with gesso
@RobertBurridgeBobBlast6 жыл бұрын
I use 300 lb Watercolor Paper. 140 lb can be problematic - sometimes air bubbles if you're not careful.

Hi Bob, are you using watercolors then applying gesso? Thank-you

Bob, I'm a huge fan so please take this as constructive criticism. The new format looks slightly blurry to me and maybe a little too sterile. I like the "in the painter's studio" look of the older videos. Keep up the good work, it's greatly appreciated.

fyom I think this is in a TV studio?? Bob’s studio is way more bigger and more “ messy” . I like it!!

No problem! This was "professionally" filmed at Burning Oaks Studio at Jerry's Artarama a few years ago... We decided to use this clip over our Holiday weekend because I had so many requests for the subject. Never fear! I am back filming in my studio this week!
