I love my inversion table. I hang a Barney Fife type harness on my head with a small weight to make traction for my neck. I hang short times a couple of times a day. Really has helped ease pain and hey it makes me feel taller. I also gently rotate my arms across my body to stretch my back and shoulders. My husband can't hang at all. He gets dizzy. Everyone should be careful and don't try it alone at first until you know how it effects you.

My dad for years would hang from a bar in the doorway, putting on the boots and using a rope to help him get his legs hooked over the bar... from his 60's up into his 70's... then he injured his eye while hunting, and no more hanging upside down for him. He did it because it helped with an old injury from about 1939... in the Navy, he had fallen down while delivering a message to the bridge during blackout conditions, a grate was missing... He thought he was going to hit the water so since he was falling head first he put his arms out to split the water so he could get away from the ship so as to not get sucked into the props. Thankfully he hit a wooden portion of the deck 20-30 feet below (USS San Francisco) and only suffered broken wrists, elbows, neck and back (he did not find out about the latter two injuries until the 1970's when he strained his back and X-Rays were taken). If he had hit the water, he would have been left in the ocean until he either drowned or was eaten by sharks. Medically discharged from the Navy, he was first in line at the recruiting station after Pearl Harbor. The Navy did not want him (again, he did not know he had broken his neck and back), so he went into the Army limited service. After 6 months he was removed from the limited service rolls and sent to Italy. In northern Italy, as a small man, a corporal carrying the machine gun by himself, sleeping with it on the cold ground, his arms started turning black and blue from the cold. He finally went to the doctors about it, they looked at his files, saw his previous injury and sent him home another medical discharge.

Hi Bob & Brad ! I've had the original teeter for years ! Just got my NEW one ( same as the one you're using in this demo ! ) I wish everyone would watch this BEFORE trying out an Inversion Table : can't tell you how many times I've seen someone get on theirs WITHOUT learning the proper way to lock the settings for their Height & Weight .. Worse yet , not making sure it's set NOT to fully invert ! One good (actually NOT good at all ) quick flip over to fully-inverted position and it ruins the experience for them . What a shame ! Folks, please watch this video and really pay attention !! Bob & Brad know what they're talking about . If you do this CORRECTLY, you will love it . . 💕 Just take it slow , very slow.. and this wonderful invention can help you so much ! remember, it is NOT a toy . NOT an amusement park ride . Always, check your own settings ( because even if you tell others not to use it , someone might have ) . I am super happy that Bob & Brad put out this video ! I'm a long-time Inversion Table user, but I welcome a "Safety-Check" from 'These Guys' ( whoever the heck they are ! ) Lol ! 😊

WARNING: If you are brand new to an inversion table, DO NOT quickly come back upright, unlock your ankles, and start walking around all of the sudden as shown here. Stay upright for 30 seconds to a minute or more until your blood flow stabilizes before getting off the machine and walking. Many people are very dizzy their first several uses and can experience a bad fall by getting off the machine too quickly.

Can I do this safely with scoliosis?
@wit2pz
@wit2pz 2 жыл бұрын
I don't know your severity of curve, but I've been dealing with the aches and pains of scoliosis since my mid 20's, and I'm 48 now. I can tell you that I've had my inversion table since 2005, and it has certainly helped me relieve the pressure and adjust misalignments that are too difficult to manipulate on my own. I will also add that the tightness they talk about in the core muscles when you first use it will also be prevalent throughout your body, including your neck, shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. Once you become familiar with it and get comfortable, you'll feel your hips release, knees, and ankles, which makes for a much more effective hang. The muscles relax, and allow the spine to elongate, giving you the stretch you long for. I highly recommend it! Good luck! P.S. stretching and strengthening of the muscles is an effective method of pain management as well.

I always wonder if the inverted table could benefit the brain due to increased bloos flow, and therefore more oxygen and nutrients being delivered to nourish the brain. Anyone knows?
