I sure wish the Grateful Dead had covered this, even once.

Bobby's band Kingfish recorded this for an album. Pretty good

No LIE... all the cowboy songs Bobby did, you know he loved that groove. I can't imagine them not doing this one even once. Yet on 12/26/69...at T.C.U. i believe, Bobby did the old gospel classic, 'Flowers in The Masters Bouquet". Can't believe Bobby still hasn't done 'Big Iron' with the other iterations of The Dead has he? :)

Saw Bobby do this at the Armadillo, way back in the 70's. Whoever's playing lead here is doing a nice job too.

This version pales in comparison to Kingfish 2/7/1976 . This isn't Robbie Hoddinott on guitar its Bobby Cochran,

Wow I did not know Bobby boy covered this song until I stumbled across a meme-video for Big Iron and it played a clip, now here I am. BTW Bob, its *40 feet between them, not 20.

The Tower Theater in Philadelphia? Right after the Dead's run at Radio City.

No, if this truly is 11/1/80, it was at the Capital Theatre, Passaic NJ.

I believe this is Robbie Hoddinott from Kingfish on guitar (Without the fuzzy hair) and Matt Kelly on Guitar in dark hair. Pre-Dead Brent on organ. I'm not sure who's on bass and drums? Anyone know?
