I'm back at it again with another tea-filled book review involving the late legendary Whitney Houston's life! This time I am comparing Bobby Brown's books to both Kevin Ammons and Robyn Crawford's book. Kevin Ammons was a disgruntled employee of Whitney Houston who wrote the first tell-all book of Whitney Houston's life in 1996. It is assumed by most people on this channel that most of what he wrote wasn't necessarily wrong -- just exaggerated. For those who don't know, Robyn Crawford is Whitney Houston's ex-girlfriend, former employee and childhood friend. Their relationship came to an ultimate blow and downfall during Whitney's insane flight with R&B Singer Bobby Brown. Robyn has been portrayed in various movies and documentaries over the last two decades. With Robyn coming out with her book, it left fans of Whitney Houston with questions and tea. I want to get down to the truth so I decided to pair up all four books to see what we can equally draw out of both. Who is telling the truth about Whitney? Do we really know her?

One thing to remember- she was an addict a long time before Eddie. Eddie said he didn’t like that she smelled like cigarettes all the time. He had to know the deal about her using and could have outed her but didn’t. He wasn’t going to tie his life to that kind of chaos when there were other beautiful women around who wanted more out of life than a high. Whitney would say- Why don’t they stay? Why don’t they want me? She didnt want to admit to herself that she was a Bible thumping addict. Hypocrisy is very unattractive. Note- we can see her desire for Eddie only went so deep. She wasn’t trying to get clean for Eddie or anyone else. Instead, she reached for a fellow addict. How convenient. Let’s face it- drug addiction is not attractive to anyone that is remotely healthy. Beauty can only hold someones attention for so long. Drug addicts aren’t fully present. How do you develop a true foundation with an addict? You don’t. You can only bond over the drugs themselves -as we saw her and BB do. (Example- Whitney said on Oprah that they watched tv for weeks getting high and saying nothing to one another. The lots of sex she mentioned can also be an attempt to connect and it leads nowhere when it isn’t real and truly sincere- you can’t fk real love into being- either it’s there or it’s not) This is why we think- Damn, why didn’t he love her right? To wound her emotionally all the time - to slap her- to spit on her- to shame her w doodie bubbles on tv- to cheat constantly-to frighten her- to cut her face- all that- To understand it you have to see their bond was not compromised of love as we know it- Instead it was a twisted co-dependent drug addict connection. It never had the respect, depth, sincerity, and tenderness that true love is made of- Note- Robyn and Whitney bonded long before her addiction took her over so completely. We see at the end she gave Robyn nothing to hold on to. Robyn could actually walk away because the Whitney she knew was no longer there- just traces of who she used to be remained. It must have been devastating for Robyn to watch Whitney drive her own ship straight toward the rocks. To hear that crystal clear beautiful voice fade and alter with the passing years- helpless to stop the madness. It is amazing she didn’t become an addict herself. Anyway-

@@leaux97 Bobby grew up in the entertainment industry. As a teen star, with little to no supervision he pretty much raised himself and lived by his own rules. In his head he was a grown man... And felt he was ready to marry a grown woman and handle grown issues...
