Yeah, Whitney had no off switch and BB may have had to look out for her now and then- but in no way should BB be trying to come off like he was the primary caregiver that Aunt Bae was. smh That body guard was right. BK didn’t stand a chance. Looking back someone really should have called the Po on them when they knew they had loads of drugs in their possession. It may have made a huge difference. Maybe they did and payoff money proved too powerful. smh

Cissy comes out to give her a towel and a kiss to console her. I think as she sang- she knew damn she didn’t have any of what the song was saying in her marriage. I recall in robyn's book when she spoke about the time, whit was getting high in a hotel room after a fight with Bobby and Sylvia panicking called robyn, who actually jumped on a plane to help whit. Got there and 5 year old krissi was next door watching cartoons. That child was exposed to a lot and musta figured out at an early age that her parents were addicts.

Then in comes Bobby, yelling to whit something like did you ask her to come?? Then asks are you going with her and whit says no. I think he tells whit you look a mess. That was painful to read. That may have happened a few times. Crazy thing is she still took him back and goes to award shows dedicating her award to the love of her life the king of rnb.. Sigh.. Robyn and Sylvia saw a lot. Whit acted like she was under a spell. Smh

Why is that hard to believe? It actually matches up with Whitney's own version of when she started using heavily. She said right after The Bodyguard, so the time-line matches up. And her Aunt said Whitney brought the baby to her as a newborn and she kept her all the way until she was 8 years old. I think that's why she, (according to her aunt), said Whitney didn't want to stay at the hospital and I think that was because she couldn't wait to get high. Drug addiction is powerful, I had many in my family, that's how they do. If they're in prison or in the hospital or something, as soon as they're out of a controlled environment, getting high is priority number 1, like right away. So I believe Bobby on that one.

Hey Ashley- Whitney told Oprah in the 2009 interview it was “after” The Bodyguard that she knew her marriage wasn’t going to make it. Oprah acted so damn shocked (and didn’t let her finish like a rookie reporter) that Whitney then added - Oh well uhh you know The Bodyguard years lasted 93, 94, 95....- as a cover. Maybe she really meant the immediate period right after filming! We will never know thanks to Oprah’s reactive ass. No offense to O but damn- do better. Whitney was having to deny drugs for pregnancy and was having to deal with BB’s immature ass stone cold sober! SOBER! 😑 Being clean for that period, she HAD to know that marriage was a huge mistake and never would she have any peace day or night. Next thing you know, she has the child and is reaching for oblivion with those drugs more than ever before. Damn shame. No bonding with her new child- no nothing. She just handed her off to Aunt Bae and shut her door. The hand off lasted 8-9 years according to Aunt Bae who said the child stayed w her and slept in her room wherever she was - as per that documentary. They played like good parents for interviews. I wonder if she would have bonded more w BK had the child been her own mini me -instead of his. BK was cute but not the adorable princess Whitney was as an infant. (Cissy says in her book everyone that saw Whitney was smitten) Later when she wanted to try for a boy, she was too much of an addict for pregnancy to stick. The cocaine use was so prevalent it kept making her miscarry. She really was her own worst enemy. In her defense, someone once said that addiction ran deep like a river all up in her family tree.

Good analysis. I thought Oprah was being judgmental towards Whitney as well. That's why it was very clear that Whitney wasn't as open and tried to make excuses so as not to come off as a dumb woman who put up with all of what she went through. She was still trying to make excuses and paint a picture of a strong independent woman because she sensed Oprah's reaction. I don't think she didn't bond with BK due to her looks. I think she bonded with her daughter than Bobby ever had. I don't even think he tried to bond with BK. But for Whitney to hand BK to aunt Bae as soon as she gave birth to her isn't normal. That is actually a sign of Post partaum depression. Her drug use became extreme after her delivery for a reason but since she was surrounded by a bunch of uneducated fools it went unaddressed. I think BK became another task that was added to Whitney's life and not a priority. And yes addiction was prevalent in her family. Hence why she was hooked as soon as she tried it.That's why in my eyes her brother is the biggest culprit. Her grandmother (Cissy's mom) was addicted to Coca-Cola( Cola had a high concentration of Coke at the time) and it affected her health. Cissy's older brother was also an addict. I will be surprised if Cissy herself haven't indulged in drugs since she was around musicians who were addicts. Drug use was normalized in Whitney's upbringing.

She took him leaving very hard which is why she started cutting herself. Whitney on the other hand may have been overwhelmed with the new marriage, baby, work commitments....

Another interesting video- Pay close attention to what she says at 4:30 to 4:36. It is stated in a choppy manner but sounds as if she acknowledges cheating “only” when doing drugs. Like many have said- the drugs probably helped lower inhibitions and remove religious fears so she could reach for Robyn when they were alone guilt free- before and then maybe during her fiasco of a marriage. That's so tragic. Bobbi Kriss had all the money in the world but she didn't have her mom and dad when she needed them at that age. Bobby and Whitney had a serious drug problem. I think of them as drug addicts in a multi million dollar mansion, living like drug addicts. The poor girl always looked like the loneliest girl in the world. Watching her on being bobby brown, she looked lost often. A rich girl but didn't have what she needed on the inside. Whitney took drugs to a whole new level, after Robyn parted ways with her and Bobby. Glad Robyn got out of that situation, she saved herself. When Oprah interviewed Cissy, Cissy said that she would have had a problem if Whitney and Robyn were in a relationship, but she didn't seem that bothered that her daughter was a drug addict. They plotted to get Robyn out of the picture. Very sad that they thought Whitney's worst trouble was Robyn.

Ashley- Have you seen this video? Robyn is in the mirror -over her shoulder. You can see their unspoken connection. Whitney’s eyes connect w Robyn’s before she begins the interview. Robyn stays connected even after being interrupted by others at the door. Whitney knew Robyn was always watching. She casually glances over a couple of more times as she speaks. This gives us a small glimpse of the strong connection between them that everyone (including reporters) were always talking about. This was right before they went to S Africa. That's the height of interference.....they weren't clueless teenage parents, they knew what they needed to do. Bobby admitted in a recent interview that they both coulda been better parents.

people kill me always saying that Whitney was a addict, & she was on drugs, but the industry were on drugs at the time, not just with, think about it it ain't like she can just roll up in the hood and buy drugs herself, so obviously she got it through people the industry, or their drug dealers, like when she was in Hollywood, or LA., For example, like the night Kelly Price party she will be sitting and VIP, and have her LA, drug dealer come to her, at the club, restaurant, or wherever else she would be at in LA, just like any other city or country, that she will be in,and that we all know this night she was in the club, oh when she got into that fight with Stacy, at the Kelly Price party, and she had, and always have had, her drug dealer, meet her wherever she was at, right in front of her daughter and Entourage, sometimes even in front of her mother, and she would have the money inside of a little tablet,(you know those really little tablets, that you write people's phone numbers in) he would give her pain and ask for her autograph, and then she will let him keep the lil paper tablet, and she will keep the pin, but it was one of those trick pants, you know like the ones that could be a pin knife, or anyting, and it will be just absolutely full of coke like at least $600.00 worth and nobody would know it, and that she got it right in front of them, because she was in the industry, and that's how easy it was, her last drug dealer in LA was Ray J, because during her and Bobby's marriage, she never had to go out and really get drugs, because Bobby would take care of that for her, or for them, which I can understand, no man wants his wife, put in potential harms way, (like to get robbed), nor cloud neither one of them, afford to have Whitney's name out there, from some drug dealer, saying that they sold her drugs, because they had a image that they had to keep, where Whitney was concerned, it was okay for Bobby to be the bad boy, but they couldn't have Whitney's name put out there like that, because she was their money maker.
