When he got with whit, he struggled to one up her, if it was a game she kept on winning and he couldn't handle it. Feeling emasculated he appeared to take his frustration out on her emotionally.

@@Thegazelle1000 Unfortunately the 14 yrs in marriage with Whitney were nothing but a roller coster experience where he got to sit, get high, eat and travel the world for free. Once that was over he was back as if nothing happened singing and dancing with his group and creating a family. And Whitney was left looking like boo boo the fool trying to pay back the money she and her ex-husband burned unable to get back to her old self.

@Brian Portis I actually think Whitney was worth more than $70 million In 1992. Clive said she was getting between $20-$50 million per album before she recorded the Bodyguard. Which meant with 3 albums under her belt at the time she was worth the very least $100 million in 1992.

I read this book as well. I found an interesting point, in this book and Robyn's book, they both mentioned the first date in LA between Whitney and Bobby. Whitney took a mislead to Robyn (and Silvia) that she had sex with Bobby that night (Spring/Summer of 1989). But Bobby said in his book, he didn't try to sleep with her and their first time is in London.

Bobby often referred to Whitney's possessions in his book as 'ours' while Whitney in interviews would say 'my'. That had to hurt his ego. Unlike Bobby's current wife, Whitney didn't seem like she was on Bobby regularly to get his career on track. I guess she expected him to figure it out. When he decides to do a reality show to make money, she puts a stop to it cos its making her look bad, taking him back to square one - i.e. doing nothing and living off her. I reckon towards the end of their marriage they resented each other.

She put a stop to her not being included on the show. Do you blame her though? The show didn't show her in her best light. Bravo didn't want the show without her...I wouldn't say she was purposely trying to stop his show. She just didn't want to be apart of it anymore... especially at her expense.

Didn't John make him put his money with Whitney's money? I think that's what gave him the right to say that Whitney's money is his money. They should've have existed independently outside their marriage. I think he was trapped in the marriage. He couldn't leave because he was broke, his career flopped and his whole family depended on him so he stayed and took his anger out on her. He knew he was going to be left penniless because of the prenup if he divorced her.

@@Msk-wb1yg Well that could be because Whitney was Busy in the first 7 years because Robyn was keeping her career intact. The concerts, award shows and movies kept the money coming and kept them distracted. Once Robyn left Whitney's career went to shambles which meant they were spending so much time together doing nothing but drugs. I also think Bobby was a little more affectionate towards Whitney just to spite Robyn. I don't buy that he was randomly appearing on Whitney's stage and planting a kiss because he couldn't resist but because he wanted to spite Robyn. And Poor Whitney probably thought that her husband was madly in love with her. But after Robyn's departure there was no competition so he didn't need to pretend to be all lovey dovey towards Whitney and gave him the freedom to treat her however he wanted. This probably led to more friction between them.

It seemed natural to me. I guess like the dancer said, when it was good between them it was v good but when it was bad...it was terrible.
