You gotta check out a book by an actor named Roman Castle called On My Way to Hollywood. He was friends with Robyn Crawford. He devoted a beautiful chapter to Whitney that had me mesmerized. The book was an absolute page-turner. If I could ever recommend a book to be in a book club this actor's memoir would be one of them. ❤

It’s funny she said that especially when Whitney got Clive Davis so upset because she wanted to sing backup for Bebe and Cece while they were on their promotional tour and she did just that. Clive was not a happy camper to know his ingenue, the biggest pop star in the world had relegated herself to singing backup but that just goes to show you how beautiful Whitney was and how there will never be another like her😢

After Bebe & Cece came out with their second album, Heaven, they went on tour and had a concert I went to here in Honolulu, HI at the Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki. I went, and all my friends that didn't, regretted it. Whitney was returning from a tour in Japan snd was a surprise guest and backup singer. They recorded the song Hold Up The Light on that album, so it was such a blessing to see her sing with them live in concert.
