Bobby Darin “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” 1965 [Remastered Stereo]

This video was sitting in an extra hard drive. I forgot all about it. Bobby ROCKS through the tune made popular by Tony Bennett. The 35m video footage of San Francisco was filmed by my grandmother, Catherine Monje, around 1950. There are a lot of video flaws, but that’s not a bad thing. It adds to the charm of the video. “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” was written in 1953 by George Cory and Douglass Cross

In my opinion this is the best rendition of this classic. Bobby had such a special and unique way of conveying the emotional elements within the lyrics straight to the heart of the listener, and have it resonate so profoundly and powerfully deep within. He was truly a master of his craft who poured his whole heart and soul into each and every performance. Just a remarkable talent who in 37 years accomplished more than most have ever dreamed of. Hands down one of the very best entertainers to ever grace a stage.
