Tal could beat Fischer hands off anytime when he is in good health - he sneak out of the hospital bed to beat Kasparov while nursing an illness. He is the real genius greatest of all time. I seriously don’t think even Magnus could handle him but that remain to be seen.

Tal was 23 and fischer was 16. That obviously made a slight difference. Both were great players but i think Bobby has been no 1.

@@ahmetbayrak176 that would be extremely speculative, as humans have a soul. I can beat machines much more easily than lower rated humans online, because the human has a full soul and is a full human being and a will and an ego. If i play a human at a time when i am meant to be doing something else, i feel morally wrong that im playing then, and i can then lose to much lower rated players who are all ready for a game of their life.

In my estimation: Tal used his lead "castle pawn" to take Fischer'r pawn on f5, destroying his own castle. The other side was not developed at all. Now, to take with the pawn at 3:26, he would have totally destroyed his pawn structure that is left, leaving the king with little protection. At that point in the game, look how Fischer has most of his pieces developed, and castled. Tal is hardly developed, and has no good place to castle. If Tal would have taken that knight, his king would be in direct attack by 2 bishops, a rook and a queen. I think we would have seen a early slaughter.

Just a move later, Fischer begs Tal to take his Bishop with the same pawn that can take his knight. Fischer wants that square open. :)

I can't figure out why Fischer resigned at the end. IMO, he could have taken the rook, stopped Tal from getting a queen, and was 2 pawns up to get his queen, then moving his king to c4. His pawn on a4 was free as a bird to get a queen. I think he had the game won.
