Bobby G (or as he is known in Tiverton, Robert) and Heidi, Tammy and Paul performed in front of an enthusiastic Tiverton High School audience on July 9th 2011.
A montange of Bucks Fizz songs from the night plus favourites The Land of Make Believe and the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest winner Making Your Mind Up.

God this brings back memories. My own fault for clicking 10 years later. So I worked backstage at a similar venue years ago. We called them "Bobby and the 3 Dwarves". Poor Bobs wife was the poisoned dwarf though. What a nightmare she was. Couldnt sing a note. I remember one night someone shouted "Where's Cheryl?" and the wife went mad. Tragic.

Bobby G does have a great singing voice which led a lot of the Buck's Fizz songs. It's a real pity he is not getting back together with the other 3 original members for their forthcoming album. Together they were magic. Separately, it's just not as good.

If this shower came on stage and you were expecting to see the group that had all the hits in the 80's you'd walk out and ask for a refund. The other three probably weren't even born in the 80's. What a shambles. No way are they BF,that's Cheryl,Mike and Jay along with Bobby Mcvay who've been touring a lot of this year, not playing the odd gig at a caravan site or in this case a school of all places.

I really feel that Bobby, Jay, and Cheryl are more Bucks Fizz than this lot...however those three quit the band and thus gave up their rights to the name. Bobby ploughed on fighting David Van Day to retain the name in some ridiculous BF era. Bobby Gee has every right to use the name Bucks Fizz regardless of which version of the band that you like.

Look wat THE Fizz created recently !!?? An upcoming new album and a Fizztastic single 'Dancing in the Rain!! Thats true Fizz legacy!! Heidi only holds the trademark of a name. I looked at their gig list of this year and I believe 4 gigs over the whole year 2017 were mentioned. So whats in the name?? You cant eat from that. We all know who the real Bucks Fizz are!! Nostalgia wins every time. Plenty of groups/bands are still on the go in other shapes and forms. For me you would always go with the one with the most original members or original front man. I'm a big fan of Bobby G, I love his voice & It was what drove the original Bucks Fizz sound, you could hear his voice on most of their hits. Although he's good here, It's not the same without the other three.

Oddly, a similar thing happened to the Human League. Everyone left and Phil Oakey was just left with the name "Human League" but they went from strength to strength with a new line up.

This is like an amateur high school performance, the girls cannot sing, in MYMU one of them is shouting, it was painful to watch and listen, the choreography is dreadful. Bobby G do the right thing, give the name back to those worthy of using it as this is not Bucks Fizz that I loved, or Bucks Fizz who won Eurovision and definitely not the Bucks Fizz I used to see perform in the 80s.

It’s sad there’s bad blood between him and the original 3. I’d be happy to see his show, but it’s a world away from the real Buck’s Fizz. Only one (admittedly talented) original member. Good for a cheap night out. But I’d like to see all original 4 together again.

Truly awful. Bobby G, Heidi Manton, Tammy Choat & Paul Fordham are NOT Bucks Fizz. And for the record, the opening number is that actual intro from the New Beginning spliced to the god-damn awful re-recorded backing tracks he was using in the 1990's. i suggest giving them a wide berth of you see them advertised, Bobby unfortunately provoked the wrath of the fans of the group so there will be no guarantee that you wont get a manky tomato thrown in your direction. Paul cant even sing!

Bobby G 'was' the voice of Bucks Fizz - it's quite obvious from just watching a few minutes of how important the tone of his voice was to their sound. There is nothing wrong at all with this show at all - the harmonies are slick and the singing excellent - but it's the Bobby G and friends show not Bucks Fizz - but you can label the same criticism at Cheryl Mike and Jay - without Bobby G they are not Bucks Fizz either. Too much water has gone under the bridge now for the proper Bucks Fizz to ever perform together sadly - but rather than constantly slag Bobby off as many Fizz fans constantly do - it was he who kept the band going when all the other members jumped ship to further their own career nests - and didn't use the group as a career safety net for when other work dried up. There is plenty of room in the world for Bobby to perform his Bucks Fizz act and also for 'The Fizz' to do their shows too. Life is far too short to keep on bitching about the matter.
