its a no brainer for bobby green, would have been nuts to NOT take this fight. I can understand where some guys wouldnt take the fight, and it be a smart decision, but this is a win/win situation for Bobby right now, and outside of injury of course, he comes out of this fight better off than he was even if he loses. I can see where any guys higher than Dariush wouldnt take the fight, i.e. Porier, Justin, etc. Dariush was actually about the right next step for Islam, and Bobby Green is a notch down from him division placement wise, yet he does pose some threats for this fight. How awesome it would be for Bobby to somehow catch this guy and sleep him. I would actually give bobby an even larger punchers chance if he had more power, because i think he can def land on islam, but considering hes more of a decision fighter than anything these days it doesnt bode well for him, highly unlikely he will land that 1 hitter quitter on him, but we can hope.

I don’t understand people, fighters included, complaining about wrestlers in MMA 🤷‍♂️ if you find wrestling boring, why don’t you go into boxing/kickboxing/muay thai or any other standup fighting competition? This is a MIXED martial arts after all. There are levels of grapplers, some of them wrestle and become a blanket, but the same goes to punchers and kickers, when they throw 10 punches per round, that also turns out to be boring. It just goes both ways, but there are genuinely great grapplers that are entertaining to watch, at least for me, takedowns, sequences, techniques, submissions. In my opinion, he is just scared of being taken and beaten down, every time a fighter says something like that, it sounds like he’s beginning the other guy not to do it, cause his takedown defence sucks. Anyways, good luck to both of them, let the better fighter win!

Of course the underdog who doesn’t know how to wrestle, fights the grappling master, would want to have a match standing up. It’s just that you shouldn’t put someone’s style down in order to elevate yourself. Get better takedown defence and have the fight on your feet for as long as you want, that’s elevating your own game without putting someone’s down

What fans dont love is a man ontop of another man, slowly, but surely finding the finish. It's just not as fun. Wrestlers can be entertaining if they have charisma, like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Khamzat Chimaev, Chael Sonnen, or Charles Oliveira. Islam doesn't have much charisma nor does he try to build fights. That's why Bobby calls him boring. He doesn't pull his weight on hyping fights & he has a style people don't enjoy up until the finish. The only thing he has going for him is his mentor is Khabib.

I’ll explain it to you man. Losses in combat sport are psychologically much more destructive than in any other sport. It isn’t something you just get over after a good night’s rest. It lingers with you, toying with your confidence and psyche long there after everytime you reflect on it.Think about it. Another man put his will on you and either finished you, submitted you, or broke your fighting spirit. None of these are easy things for any man to have happen to him let alone live and deal with all the way up until his next fight where he gets a chance to finally redeem himself. There’s an old saying that goes, “you’re only as good as your last fight”. That’s all that matters. Your last performance. Fighting is all confidence and momentum based. You risk losing that everytime you enter the cage. Let alone entering the octagon unprepared and knowing you’re not in ideal shape against someone who is, isn’t a task many men would take. Good thing bobby isn’t like many men. That’s why he’s here.

Personally I don't respect fighters who aren't in it for the belt and are just in it for the money. That mindset is going to get him absolutely mollywhopped by Islam.
