@benadryl cabbagepatch atleast he's still humble though, it's always respectable to watch someone NOT be salty in defeat. Lots of fighter are cocky before a fight and in the presses, it's a mind-game and everybody's gotta do it sometimes. Even Islam does it from time to time, it's their way of hyping up their fight, when the fights over, that's where their true selves appear again.

Fighting non top 10a absolutely. He’s a good card filler. Not elite. Fun to match up with another striker. The guy is a boxer and has one stoppage in over 10 years This is an impossible fight. Not even a punchers chance. They should have just pushed the dariush fight back As this fight didn’t matter to the division atball. Just like Last fight with hooker. Drain yourself to 155 twice in 2 weeks. Both hooker and green beat the same guy in a 3 rounder and fight Islam a week later. The guy is just set up perfectly to not fight any top guys until he wins the title. Hopefully it won’t be against a no. Top 10 guy lik khabib iaquinta and fights a top guy to win the title at least.

The way he's describing the fight with Islam is so similar to how fighters describe fights against Khabib. The strength, the placement of weight, the patience, etc. MMA has evolved over time. I remember when UFC first arrived, BJJ was winning UFC tournaments (1, 2, and 4 under Royce Gracie, etc) and no one knew how to counter it. Then for a long time we had grappling mixed in with striking, but the latter seemed to be most dominant under the likes of Chuck Liddell, Vitor Belfort, Silva, etc. But now *combat sambo* as practiced by the likes of Khabib and Islam, is proving to be the most dominant fighting style in MMA as it truly embraces grappling, BJJ, and striking of all sorts, which is why we shouldn't be surprised that only the butthurt fans of punching-only are crying about it 😂 MIXED means MIXED - accept it!

I ain't gonna lie, seeing how nervous he was at that last face off I kinda knew he was going to get eaten but you still have to give him all the admiration for stepping in there and fighting hard. If it inspires him to train harder and in new ways, all the better, maybe he can make a run. He certainly capable of it.
