In my opinion, with all these trade talks with the pelicans and Al these players that “want to come to a Dallas”, why is nobody mentioning the one player that could make us a dynasty and a direct rival with Boston? I truly don’t understand why everyone is just skipping over Brandon Ingram. I have literally heard nobody mention BI to ANYWHERE, let alone the mavs 😅. If we can somehow get BI on this current mavs team without losing any of the core then MY GOD the league is in trouble and the west will run through Dallas for years to come…. BI as the starter with PJ/Naji off the bench makes this team the deepest in the league,BY FAR, and they’ll be in the next 5-7 finals for sure. He’s the most consistent star in NO and if he wasn’t there next to Zion he’d most likely be a super max player. This is a chance for us to buy SUPER LOW on a player who would’ve been at least a perineal allstar in a different situation . The pelicans don’t want him and nobody is even talking about him, like he’s a scrub or something. Having him as the starting 4 and pj off the bench would give us a player with KD capabilities on the floor with Luka and kyrie. He can also play the small ball 5 WITH pj on the floor, and I can see lineups with Naji, PJ, and BI on the floor at once. This would literally put us on par with Boston and it’d be them and the mavs consistently in the finals. Not only would that lineup have 5 ball handlers, but 5 shooters, and playmakers on the floor with High defense and switch ability. Not to mention BI is very similar to Klay, a “low maintenance” Star who you have to respect on every spot on the floor. Then you also wil have another player who doesn’t need the ball. He’s highly efficient and would be a legit and consistent 3rd scoring option at all times. Which also means you have Klay,PJ,Naji as 4/5/6 scoring options and you haven’t even mentioned QG or Spencer. I’m willing to part with any combination of hardy, Maxi,omax, and maybe even Dwight WITH some pics to get BI on this team(Dwight has become a safety button at the 4 for us). And the fact that we’d actually want BI and the lack of state tax, oh and potentially a 6year finals run, may be enough to convince him to sign a team friendly deal. …. I know I’ve ranted but damn if this happens, where we keep all the key pieces, this team will run through the rest of this season. We won’t have much wiggle room to build in the future, but this team would be so perfect that we wouldn’t need to add pieces until either kyrie retires. This team is currently built so that when anyone outside LuKai retires we have the next man up to replace(except the position)

You can't do that trade money wise without giving up some core pieces, and he wants a max which the Mavs won't give him.

Do you understand how the cap works? They can't trade for BI without giving up rotation players. And there's a reason no one has traded for BI. He doesn't contribute to winning. Not much of a defender and shoots mostly from the mid range. He's bad for spacing
