Outside of Gretzky and Howe, Orr is to me the best player in NHL history. I could go on and on about him for a long time. Be hearing more about him in later videos and I'm looking forward to it.

The Rocket was one of the greatest. Ove to me deserves to be in the mix I mean in an era where goals are not easy to come by he scored over 50 six times. Lindstrom was really good for a defencemen. Roy as a goalie was a generational talent. Pavel Bure changed hockey. I don't remember a lot of skate work on pucks before Bure and today it's almost a basic skill for players.

I also rank Howe and Gretzky above Orr because Orr's injuries limited his effectiveness and he was partly responsible for that.

This is the year I got hooked on hockey as a kid in Boston. Bobby Orr will never pay for a drink or a meal in Massachusetts. And he is still a "regular guy", this is why hockey is so great. I always thought Buffalo blew their chance at a cup when thet had Rick Martin and Rene Robert along with Perreault-The French Connection was a great line

Same for me in Vancouver. I hated the Bruins later for "letting" him go, but it turned out to be scumbag Eagleson who screwed Orr and the Bruins.

Bobby Orr was the Geatest player in history, he was defenseman and had stats like a forward, Terry O'Rielly once said " I was braking the right wing and heard someone skates cutting up the ice, turned around and saw Bobby" tremendous strength in his legs.

From 6 to 21 teams in 13 years? Jesus. The NHL certainly knows how to overcorrect things. That aside, had Orr been able to stay healthy, I wonder if it would have been possible for the Bruins to be a dynasty similar to the Canadiens, Leafs and Red Wings before them. They certainly had the talent to be good for a long time.

4:03 Actually, I think the whole 1 vs 3 and 2 vs 4 thing continued until the next year. Boston #1 had to face Ken Dryden's #3. If only they went 1 vs 4, Bruins might not face the Canadiens until the Finals and may have had enough time to figure Dryden in the meantime. I wonder why they did it in the first place. I always thought Orr was tripped, or at least he skated over a stick blade or something else he didn't see, and the momentum prompted the aerial. Orr was known for downplaying goal celebrations.

Clark Wilson the Blues were one of the favorites, they were the conference champs. And the team that eliminated them in the finals 2 years in a row missed the playoffs. They had that cup until Bobby Orr did Bobby Orr things

Because if you were , you would know that not a single team from the Western Conference wouldn't have even made the playoffs back then.
