He used to come watch our games when I was a child, our coach was his son Robbie. He would hand out signed cards and sign baseballs to everyone who asked... I had an awesome upbringing in 803.

Bobby Richardson, truly, truly a man of God. I was always a Mickey Mantle fan and I'm so glad Mickey will be in heaven, thanks to Bobby. We need thousands more of Bobby Richardson's in this world and in sports.

I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior thanks to Bobby's sermon at Mickey Mantle's funeral. Bobby and I have corresponded several times, he is a fantastic person and a living testimony to how God can inspire so many people through His Son!

Mickey Mantle was my hero growing up and I was so happy to learn that it was Bobby Richardson who brought him to Jesus Christ at the end of his life. Bobby was a great Yankee and I followed the team every chance I got on the Yankee Game of the Week with Mel Allen. Those were some of the best years of my life.

What a testimony he has. The real deal. I watched his eulogy Mickey funeral. To think he clearly and boldly presented the Gospel broadcast over ESPN.

I recall Bobby Richardson very well and it is very good to see he is such a good man, Mickey's good friend ...and I love any Mickey Mantle stories that I can find.

I am 69 ysars old, a Vietnam veteran, and a Yankee fan. As A youngster my favorite plsyer was Bobby Richardson, I wore #1 in little league. Babe Ruth, and high School because my hero wore #1. Most importantly as I grew up I realized yhat Bobby was a Christian. I knew then that I had chosen the right person to look up to. Thanks Bobby for being such a great light.

As I grew up in the '50's and '60's, I loved baseball and especially the Yankee greats. Bobby Richardson was one fine player and contributed so much to their success. Later I found out that this great Yankee was/is a Christian and a gentleman, as evident on and off the field. 'Love you, Bobby, and I know you influenced the great 'Mick' in a very important decision towards the end of his life.

I grew up in Texas in the 1940s through the Sixties. We had no local Major League Team, and because my best friend was a Yankees fan, I hated the Yankees. But I LOVED (and still do) Bobby Richardson!

not to put Bobby Richardson up on a pedestal or anything because that's not what I'm trying to do. But when I think of a real Christian this is what it looks like. Bobby is the real deal. nothing fake about him. this is what I aspire to be as a Christian myself.

The Yankees should give him a plaque in monument part...I no Billy Martin has a plaque with number 1 ...but the Yankees have 2 number 8s...Berra and Dickey.. Why not 2 number 1s???..
