Yeah people don't appreciate great music from the artist from the 60s to the early 90s. Even when great artist continued to put out great music people preferred the crap that wasn't near as good. Not that there aren't great artist now, but I know there have been plenty of artist who should not have been outselling some of these older artist later stuff.

new music and artist aren't the same any more its all so flat with no feeling and as you said everyone sings about very materialistic things. this slow jam is one of a kind i don't know how to describe what makes it so amazing it just is bobby womack sings it with such passion it just works perfectly. i've heard numerous songs sung with great passion its just something about this song

This was a show honoring Richard Pryor, and Bobby Womack was one of Richard's favorites; you can tell Richard is really enjoying Bobby's performance. I guess with all those wives Pryor had this song hits home for him. Thanks for posting.

Bobby's performance was a part of a tribute to Richard Pryor who was being honored that night. Richard passed away shortly thereafter.

Not true. This is from 1991. It was a TV special party for Richard Pryor. Richard Pryor died in 2005 and was confined to a wheelchair at the end of his life.

True words. Mr Joe and I played 🎱 many nights late night and listened to me bobby womack. I'm 42 n I'm white Mr Joe was black and passed fighting cancer. OMG I'd give anything to hear him say he loved me. Ever heard it from him. But believe lol I knew Mr Joe loved this guy. Bless everyone. Tell everyone have a good day. N walk proudly. Thank you.

Bobby, there are very few performers that sound this good live; especially today. Your voice is a blessing to all of us. Some folks have posted that K-Ci & Jojo is the better version. I will not say which one is my favorite, but lord, can they sound as good as you do live. Both are beautiful. Mercy mercy.

This song, has defined my musical life as a 23 year old. First seeing K-Ci Hailey from Jodeci performing it in Melbourne when i was 16 years old..... to now, when in 24 hours i will be seeing this great man perform at the Hamer Hall in Melbourne. Hopefully this is part of the set list!!!
