Not really, lol, that's main line theory. Black has a somewhat solid response for that. It's better to just go d5 after e5 and lock the centre at the beginning, to be honest. It makes it very cramped for black, and it makes it difficult to develop properly, as white will develop and defend the pawn at a rapid pace.
@fizzywizzy02 жыл бұрын
@@GustavRex engine is at -3 after Nc3 and it's obvious why. Black sacs a pawn just for tricks and if they win it back with Qxb2 white is quick to develop all their pieces and launch an attack. Also, accepting the gambit is the best move.

Threatening to take c2 with smothered check loses white's queen unless white defends with nd4. Now both knights are eyeing b5. After 8. ...Qa5 9. a3 threatens the bishop. Advice I gave a newbie chess player. Think of your pieces as a team. Each having their own personalities and moves. But each needing to defend each other, look out for each other. Once you learn the way they move and remember how to back up each other - then you can build your attacks and also have an escape plan. Instead of panicking about it. Just enjoy it. As for what openings to use, find one you like. Find ones that beat you and beat them back. Discover, don't distress.
