This does needs to be recalled! I have a 2020 Nissan Altima. Last year, this engine light came on in my car. Took it to Nissan and they said they had no clue what it was but charged me ~$600 to test things out. Now, the light is back on, along with my collision control light (which the car has never been in a collision) and the light that comes on when the car might lose traction in the rain or snow(can’t remember what it’s called). I’m beyond frustrated with this vehicle and I’m refusing to spend another dollar to troubleshoot but I might be forced to do something because my engine light stays on and I need it off for inspection. I don’t think my next car will be a Nissan if I can help it.

My engine light literally came on for the first time this evening. For the last week I have been having issues. I would turn off my car and it would go completely out; it would not lock, start or anything. After a few minutes the car sensor comes back on and I am able to start and lock the car. Now my engine light. My car will be 2 years old in May and it was spanking brand new when I purchased it.

I called The Lemon law group to a the process of getting my car replaced. You can to but the car can be past 2 years. So since it’s still may call them now

This is a serious issue that I feel Nissan needs to address as grounds for a recall. Because Nissan service are taking advantage of customers, by making us pay for updates that they already know will not fix this issue. I have a warranty and the guy in service was trying everything to squeeze money out of my pocket for this issue on a new car.

Unfortunately.. I got this warning light today. I bought the car 5 days ago used with 43,800 on it. 2021 Nissan Rogue Certified .. it’s ashamed because the car is really nice. I made an appointment for tomorrow morning at the Nissan Dealership

OMG...same issue with my 2021 Sentra SV...along with strut and axle issues. Never had accident , 40,OOO miles and now dealer wanna talk warranty ish. This is my 2nd Sentra but they are trash now😩

I have a 2019 Nissan Altima and had the same issue today where the car wouldn’t start and the engine malfunction popped up, so a friend of mine help me jumpstart the car and it turned on, so I’m guessing it might be the battery

I got my wife a 2021 Nissan Rogue and this light started popping up about 2 weeks ago. We got it Nov 2023. We brought it to the dealership we got it from and all they did was clear some codes and charge the battery. Literally driving out of the shop my wife says the light popped back up. She turned back inside and they say the battery should be replaced.

Definitely not the battery. They will exhaust you financially acting like they know what’s wrong with the vehicle.

Thanks for the video - Ive had my Nissan ( its a2019) since 19, no issues beside the radio blasting when it wants to. But, just Like you, I stopped to get gas recently and this indication popped up. When I got to my destination, turned the car off and then I tightened my gas cap, which has caused me an issue in the past (If your gas cap is not tight, your car may not start after getting gas) I turned the car back on, the light was gone. So just yesterday, I get this indication again. Hmmm, not sure what to do after seeing your video 😭😭

I called the Lemon Law Group and they’re helping me get a new car, you should Google them. They don’t charge you, they charge Nissan for their services

Happened to me too. This is the second time. Last time they (Nissan of Boerne) told me that I needed a new battery, new fuel injection etc. They did replace the starter, there was a recall. They said it was not safe for me to drive car. I had the manager look at my insurance’s policy, 2:47 2:47 2:47 2:47 I’m coveted for all of it. (Not sure why they got confused.). Once they saw that I was covered, the story changed. They said it only needs a new battery, but they are out of stock. I called the dealership for 3 weeks and they never got batteries for the 2022 Rogue. I took it to another dealership and they ran tests and said everything was fine. “ 2:47

This is happening to all the Nissan cars that were produced when COVID hit. Chip’s got lost and many parts was stuck out in the ocean and workers were on the factories at that time. So these cars are a bad batch and they don’t know what to do to fix them. So i called the Lemon Kaw Group and they’re really helping me.

My 2021 Rogue did this today. I got home and parked the car. Then waited 2 min. Started it up and it was gone. Called nissan and they had not idea. We love to hear that but they will charge $169 to diagnose it. What!! Anyways I’m going to have them check for updates cause noooooo. This is manufacture fault, the ECM software needs an update I got this yesterday. When you put in the computer it gives you a fault with MAF mass air flow sensor I replaced yet the problem was still there. I took it to an electrician and the problem is done with the software update.

To be honest with you, bro, I got the same situation and my check engine light came on with the reduce of power and come to find out to find out. I had a bad egr valve and once I replace the the problem went away completely

This happened to me 2 days ago. I took it to the dealer, and they said it was about the update. I think it will happen again. What do you think? By the way, thank you for your video. Updates won’t fix this issue. They will charge you for the update but they won’t guarantee it will fix this problem. Save your money, and hopefully they will do a recall or maybe a class action suit will show its face… and thank you for the sub.

I just received this era I bought my car November of 2021, it's a Nissan Altima 2.5 s 2020. I am an Uber and Lyft driver. I've pulled over right now shut the engine off and sitting here to give it time to I guess cool down I did have the AC on I live in Philadelphia to April 11th turned on the AC for the first time full blast I don't know if that caused it which can be one of the reasons the cooling system. But I'm seeing everyone else's comments that they're receiving this and Nissan can't determine it I cannot afford 700 or $1,000 to troubleshoot this. I also depend on my car as my employment. It's terrible

My car is a Nissan Altima 2020 2.5 s I drive Uber and Lyft and it just came on I've owned the car since November of 2021 and have me worried I pulled over and right now I'm just sitting with the car off but I do have to pick up a pre-scheduled ride in about a half hour and it's scary to get that kind of a message and I cannot afford at $700,000 or $1,000 troubleshoot fee especially in lieu of what the poster of the video is saying that they can't even determine why that lights coming on.
