They make an aftermarket pin now that is greasable from the end where the old bolt normally would be, It's welded and now has a grease fitting threaded in. They run about sixty dollars a piece.

Informative video!!! Sorry for the ankle injury--not easy to get over quickly. With my broken ankle, I had to get surgery resulting in 12 titanium screws and a 6" plate to put my broken ankle back together. Prayers for a speedy recovery!

Thank you! Yikes, that sounds painful! I hope you made a full recovery

Great video! Thank you! Got an old MT52 and getting ready to do bushings and seals. Is there a resource for the roller tolerances that you know of? Thx
@nickenslandscapingexcavating11 ай бұрын
Thank you! Thats awesome, hopefully yours are in better shape than mine were. I do not know the tolerance but I’m sure your bobcat dealer can provide that info. My dealer is super helpful

How hard would it be to retrofit the mt100 rollers on the mt85?
@nickenslandscapingexcavating2 ай бұрын
They make a conversation kit now but heard it was like $8,000

You're going to hate this but it's the truth, Bobcat now makes a upgraded greaseless design for this it's a little bit more money but you'll never have to use a grease gun on the undercarriage again
@nickenslandscapingexcavating2 ай бұрын
I know… apparently it came out right after this… I heard it was $8,000

How much do you think you saved doing it yourself compared to a shop ?
@nickenslandscapingexcavating Жыл бұрын
Not much. My guys make to much money lol. We got it done in 6 hours with one guy most of the time. Had a hand for a couple things but mostly just 1 guy.

We own 3 of the mt85s in our rental business and have to rebuild the undercarriage on 2 of them. The engineers that designed this machine should be fired.Every time our machine comes back it has to be greased and most of the time the zerks are so beat up from stone that they have to be replaced.Its a piss poor excuse of a machine thats why we are getting ready to swap everything over to the ditch witch sk800.
@nickenslandscapingexcavating Жыл бұрын
Yeah it is literally the main driving factor that makes a lot of people switch brands. They know it because the MT100’s are all sealed. Someone told me you still grease the idlers on the ditch witch. It’s just the rollers that are greaseless on those
@mrmarty1403 Жыл бұрын
It's definitely a pain in the ass. We can't get a Grease gun on the front idler so I'm sure it will be toast soon.
